Is hemp better than spun poly ? I keep getting foiled by the poly twisting on itself........... Without any other information I would guess you are using a traditional needle and standing the ball of twine on it's end to load the needle? TC

Has Anyone Seen This Before? Ridiculous.

It's not what he said but the way he said it, as in oye Gypsy boy. I know Samson personally and he is believe it or not a quiet unassuming chap. TC Was he offended...? No, it was sledging and yes he reacted to it anyone would in the heat of the moment. The problem was that it was caught on the ref's mike so everyone heard it. As Marler apologised he admitted that he had said it. So as the rules state he had to have a ban, but by the six nations committee not banning him it made it all worse. TC

He didn't, just walshie playing hard done by. TC

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/35967459 What he said was bugger all. But with cameras and microphones everywhere you just can't get away with it these days. Oh and walshie does that extend to the derogatory remarks made about the Welsh by certain members on here during the six nations thread? TC

Just reading other peoples lists and there are so many of the listed foods that I love and eat. But with so many dishes on offer why oh why is it so fecking hard to decide what to have for a main meal? TC
-
Top of the list has to be good gravy. Roast, any meat from Mallard to sausages, and everything in between. Brawn. Stilton. A good cheddar Crispy chips. Corned beef egg chips and tinned tomatoes before you go out drinking on a Friday night. Cawl warmed up on a cold January morning for breakfast. Felinfoel faggots, mushy peas, boiled spuds and gravy in a bowl and eaten with a spoon. Young rabbit deep fried in beef dripping and eaten with a couple of rounds of bread and butter. Leek in a crispy cheese sauce, crumple a packet of crisps over the top of the cheese sauce. Ham and a mustard

There are some brilliant photos on this thread, but it is not just the quality of the images that make them good. It is the thought and the time taken to get the images, they all show a love ( and no little knowledge) of our avian friends. TC

I have seen one of these in the flesh, so to speak. They are beasts of animals, strong yet biddable. I was debating whether to get one of the pups when there were a couple left. I am glad I did not now. I could never do a dog like that justice at my age now. They are built to work and work hard, I have no doubt there will be some class dogs from that litter in a couple of years. TC

Now that to me is a first class day. All rabbits hunted for, the sense of satisfaction you must have had at the end of the day, will have had to be felt to be believed. Great write up, I was there with the terrier. I would have paid them for a day like that. TC

Yes, but there again we have problems at the moment. He is fixated on the daughters dog and when she is not around he frets. The problem is she is a glutton and will eat what ever is in a bowl, and if I tell her to leave it he takes that to heart also. She is a double edged sword at the moment, as she is leading him in some ways, yet holding him back in others, I have not yet worked out a balance to make it more positive for him. TC

I will be 100% honest, very slowly, at the moment he is building relationships with every one but me. But the good news is he has actually started playing and wagging his tail when people walk into the room. Not great strides I know, but it is better than no response at all. He does come to his name and will let you know if he needs the toilet. Time will tell I suppose. TC

The best whisky I have ever had, (60th birthday present) is Aberlour A'bunadh cask strength 59.6% proof. As smooth as a babies bum. Beautiful stuff. Would love to drink it all the time but not at the price it is. TC

A little tip before you use a Rotavator on the ground, make doubly sure you have got all the perennial weeds Bind weed, dandelions, mares tail etc; out of the ground. One chap on our allotments had a patch of mares tail in one corner of his plot. He rotavated it and he had it all over the plot. As a bye Terry is that a Merry Tiller with the Briggs and Stratten engine? TC

Not so fuzzy now. TC

its a secret under the official secrets act I have no axe to grind in any way here, but it does seem to me that if I was a member of the AWL and I got pulled for lamping rabbits, and they sorted it out for me. I would not like it made common knowledge on an internet forum. TC -
Seen my first Bumble bee this afternoon, it was in the shed looking for a place to make a nest. TC
