  1. It's the same attraction that people on here have to post on how many rabbits/others their bull x, slauki, coursing dog has caught. They think the dog rubs off on them. Big numbers / big prey = great hunter. Big dog = big person. Deluded the lot of them. TC
  2. Never had a fox in the net, never mind in the day. Have had a couple going towards the net but they have all jumped the net. TC
  3. Penderyn res holds some tidy fish. TC

  5. It's only about 8 miles from where I live, the dog has been seized as part of the enquieries into the childs death. http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2014/feb/18/alaskan-malamu TC
  6. It does make me chuckle sometimes when you see people standing in front of the nets they want to bolt rabbits into. TC
  7. Long nets are great when used properly. They are interception catchers, IE they catch rabbits when they are heading for a particular place. As has been said on big open warrens with no place of saftey nearby for the rabbits to head too, they are not at their best unless you sub divide inside the outer ring of netting, even then they are not that effective and purse nets will win every time. Where they do out score purse nets is on hedgerows and used sensibly they can save a lot of time and effort and increase the bag considerably. TC
  8. For night time netting that is how I set my nets, but for the day I use different methods. It is all down to how the rabbits hit the nets, in the day they are 99% of the time bolting into the nets at full pace. they then stretch the netting to it's extreme and start bouncing around. All too often the end up going over the headline, which can go either way 1. they take some of the net over the headline and bag themselves or 2. they just flip over the headline and make good an escape. For that reason I no longer angle the pegs back during the day, if anything, ground allowing, I angle the pe
  9. Phill Drabble had a pet weasel. Wrote a book about it 'Weasel in my Meatsafe'. TC

  17. I can only speak of being in a similar situation and of knowing some one well whos lad was left severly disabled after a car crash no perant would wish their childs life to end. I 100% agree with you when you say "no parent would wish their childs life to end." Unfortunatly it does not work like that, children get sick and die. It is the manner of the child dieing that is the matter of the debate. I can only speak as hear-say, as thankfully I have never been affected by a child having an illness like that. I will try and give a sinario where it could be possible to contemplate the us
  18. Do you mean up and down the poles? Yes as long as you wet the pole they will move. If you mean along the lines, then they will not. To add an attachment once you have done the writing scroll down the page and you will see where to make that attachment. TC
  19. I suppose the ultimate question would be, would you do it for your child? It is already law in the Netherlands for children over 12, but the Danish seek to make it for all children of any age. I think unless you have been in that situation we all can only guess at what we would do. We have all been brought up with the moral code that all life is sacred. But does that mean that we have to sit back and watch a child die in agony? Intresting read. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-25651758 TC

And then you will have swapped the barstewards you know, for the even more devious barstewards that you think are on the same side as you. When will people wake up to the fact that capitalism is the only system that works. There is no such thing as socialism or comminism, as the ideals may be great, but in practice greed gets in the way. TC

Spot on. Because of mans inherant greed there will always be the have and have-nots and the have-nots wanting to be the have's. The masses are just cannon fodder for the elite few. TC
