I don't get groups as such, I have tried to be consistant where I place the catapult and the pouch and know that consistanvy helps with any type of shooting but it is not working for me. @12yards I can hit a coke can maybe 6 or 7 times out of 10 the best I have done is 8 and the worst is 2 I really am a crap shot with a catapult. The funny thing is I am good shot with a rifle or shotgun so it does bug me a little that I just cannot work out how to use it. TC

So you swivel from the hips? TC

I have shot a shotgun for over 45 years and I learnt how to stand to get the best out of the gun. I have tried that stance with a catapult and it does not make a lot of differance I still cannot hit what I am aiming at consistently. You people who are good shots with a catapult do you have a particular stance that you use? And do you find your accuracy alters if you change your stance? TC

Do you want some fish to with the pile of chips you seem to have on your shoulders? TC

What I cannot understand is, how any person be it courser or shooter, think that only they have a god given right to the animals they persue. Natures bounty, with nurture and understanding can and does produce more than it should. As paulus has stated these drives have been going on for years without a reduction. Just look back every spring since this site began and you will see a thread about it. TC

Tomo, There is a presidence being set there that could have implications all over the world. Just imagine if any country had a majority of imigrants then they could just vote and take over that country. It is scary. TC

Raw, don't let the wife get out of her duties of making sure all the wrigglers are gone. 3 times a day for 2 weeks is what I told mine......****off is what she told me. TC

I cannot remember my exact age but it was in my early forties. And did not want any more kids, the wife had been on the pill too long and had to come off it so to me it was a no brainer. At 26 I would not even have contemplated it. TC

The only negative thing I could say about them is that they are dirty, especially if there is any type of wind blowing, all the ash gets blown out through the holes. First time I used ours I just lit it on the patio, what a bloody mess after it, and once started there is no moving them. TC

All I can say TC is that your a braver man than me .................I'd like to think I've good stomach for that kind of thing but I'm glued to the sette and it don't look like I'm moving anytime soon Even the thought of lugging a door about is making my eyes water..... What really hurt was the wife having to have a hystorectomy the next year, now that was painfull. TC

Had mine done years ago, done in the morning and back at work in the afternoon. A little sore and bruised for a few days but that was it, I even watched him doing it. Nothing to it. TC

The broad beans in Terry's pictures have a lot of flowers on them for the time of year, I have had them with early flowers before but never early beans as we normally get a run of cold northerly winds sometime in April and all the flowers drop off. Last year we had a late spring but by june everything had caught up, sometimes it pays to hold back till the ground warms a little. TC

Ours is the top photo, but the ali undercarrage did melt so ours is up on bricks at the moment. TC

My boy has been using one of these for the last couple of years, last year hemade us one and they are great as a patio heater but I also use it as a rubbish burner. If anything they are too good at drawing and use a lot of fuel. But that said they are good to use as a barby with briquettes or charcoal just stick a grid over the top and cook on that. TC

Just finished digging the last bed today, My back garden is a 45% slope so I had to put terraces in to get some level ground, one of the beds that has been there 18 years now, finally gave up the ghost and tannanised tiber half logs holding back the earth snapped so I have to dig out the front of the bed to replace it. Put some early carrot seeds in under cloches and have sown some leeks but that is it. TC

Wilf, Your consistant i'll give you that. I know nothing of your circumstances save what you have posted on here. But it does beg the question why would anyone who professes to be such a strong tory and by the answers in this thread has inferred that through hard work has done well for himself, still seek out the company of people who are in his own words moaners and whingers? It cannot be that it is because it is a hunting site, I am willing to stand corrected on this, but I have yet to see a hunting related post made by you, obviously you may have made them but I cannot remeber one.

If England carry on improving as they are, they are going to be a force to recon with. Wales badly need a plan B. Gatland talks about having strength in depth, then does bugger all to facilitate it. Lee Halfpenny played 27 games in the last season, as have a few of the others no wonder they are jaded. TC

In all honesty, I think Wales have peaked and are going down hill, The palyers still have a lot to give but other teams have worked out how to counter the simple gameplan and there is no plan B. Liam Williams showed today what a full back should do it is a pity that 1/2p is not allowed to do the same. That said, the Scottish forwards could not cope with plan Gatland, which with the man less in the backs left our backs open to run riot. I would have rather seen him get a yellow and been cited later, would have made for a better contest. TC

Come on Tc ...............................didn't you enjoy watching the boys run a few in, even if we had the extra man most of the game. Come on Tc ...............................didn't you enjoy watching the boys run a few in, even if we had the extra man most of the game. Honestly, it was not a contest, to me, it did not feel like a match. Scotland did not have a lot to offer in the first place, but once they lost the man it was always going to be a Welsh win. Even then they made hard work of it in the second half. I think Wales need new blood and a change of gameplan.

The first two games today, were boring, some good tries but against no opposition. The Ireland France game had it all best game of the 6 nations. Congrats Ireland you deserve it. TC

Micky knew what I was on about as did a few others. Pity you do not seem to have the same foresight, are you always aggressive to people who are trying to help you? TC

The problem with this country is the geographical divide of wealth. The S East is the richest part of the country, probably because it has the highest density of population not to mention the capital city. The local economy refects this. Compare that to Wales where the total population is less than greater London then you have a supply and demand problem. When the pits were closed demand decreased for any comoditiy, for obvious reasons. You cannot have the people who were thrown on the scrap pile (no matter how much they wanted to) opening up new ventures where the demand was less than wh

Wilf, in my first post on this thread I stated that "Fcuk there is some shit being talked on this thread" and I see it has not changed, you are talking about one person, we are talking about whole communities that were built on the work in the area. Only to be destroyed by the greed of the few. TBH the miners strike never affected me as such, but it does not mean that because it did not affect me that I do not care what happened to the communities. Perhaps that is where we differ, I have a social conscience and an empathy for my fellow workers where as you seem to be a right Thatcherite. '
