you can try and build a bond by letting the dog off in a area like a garden or even in the house take no notice of the dog at all even when he comes to or wants your attention as soon as he gives up and walks away call him to you in other words you don't allow him take charge of the situation you make the moves not the dog I think this type of training is a good first building block without you being to harsh with your dog as firm does'nt mean over the top or you loose any bond you have with the dog and he won't forget or forgive you.as always only my opinion

WHY WOULD THE BITCH BE ABOUT WHEN THE PUPS ARE DOCKED had a few litters docked over the years some before the law said the vet had to do it and one litter when vet did it never heard a peep out of the pups always done up to three days old with the bitch out of the way.Is it the thought of the process or did you witness this reaction.

As already stated once you go past fence you are classed as on or near the line h/s takes over personnel track safety cert look out man control of site safety just for starters you risk getting involved with transport police and the risk is high police are active at this time as cable theft is a big problem and all rail workers are duty bound to report anyone on the rail and by the way you do risk your life for a few bunnies as well.
-
As you are in the planning stage ask your vet practice if they dock if so then get them done cos after the pups are a few days old it will be to late,Yes nowt wrong with a spaniel with a full tail work wise but you will run the risk of a damaged tail every time they are worked . you are stacking the odds against you for selling the pups to working homes as some won't have a worker in the kennel that has a full tail.O.M.O.mind good luck.

i would contact the a club for this breed and ask them cos I KNOW it effects ESS coats and weight gain a.t.b.

bred from my bitch this year hoping to get a bitch pup but she had only three bitches in the litter one faded and the other two where promised to friends so left with only dog pups at first I didn't want the hassal of a kennel full of bitches and a dog so was going to let them all go BUT as the only interest in the last one was for it to go as a pet I decided to keep him plus I started to like having him about the place so this is him at 4 months

Long story short out with dogs up the fields no houses or allotments nearby heard a cock crow looked into a small shelter belt and saw a trio of banty's .I think someone has dumped them .WHY I think the person who's dumped them thinks they are being kind by releasing them instead of knocking them on the head.ps had a go at catching them but not able to.

Don't know if law has changed but years ago a horse got out of its field and a fatal accident happened insurance could not prove the horse got out by neglect on the owners part he had no case to answer I know it's not the same but surely if you have taken reasonable measures to hold the dog inn the garden the that's all that should be expected of you as for lamping the bloke your a fool to yourself.without you hitting the bloke mebe the police would not have got involved hope you get it sorted cos it could happen to any of us.

Vet Bill Advice Please
hily replied to *The*Field*Marshall*'s topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Don't mind anyone making a good living out of there skill but when you see animal treatment centres and plush vet surgeries opening all over and even some investors setting up vets rather than buying shares to make money it's got to make you think they are making a killing out of small animal practices . But we can't do without them cos they do have the law of neglect to back them up -
those in power back in 60's and 70's wanted nuclear could it be that money was involved and big building contracts would be had surely not. The people said NO to risky so whats changed bit by bit the gov got on the green band wagon and now fossil fuels are nasty and wind turbines do nowt for us so we are brainwashed into thinking we don't have any option but to go nuclear. All we have to do is put another shovel of coal on the fire and get warm lets get thinking the same way as the rest of the world and worry about hear and now not what could happen in the next 100 years or so.Nowt wrong w
