  1. thanks micheala, this is there first proper season, they have done really well accounting for plenty of rabbits
  2. Hardly a rip off really, considering some of the idiots out there, at least you know a day out with Simon would cover most aspects of what you would encounter, money well spent I'd say
  3. I use the pyke ones there spot on you can get plenty of nets in the back and plenty of pockets in the front for other bits/ locator, knife, game carriers etc I'd thoughly recommend one
  4. Rita sue and bob too some classics in there with pissed up dad, blazing saddles too
  5. today was a rare occasion it wasn't windy it's normally blowing a gale
  6. Got out this morning,as usual set off before any sane person is even thinking of getting out of the warm bed, saw us at our chosen spot just on day break, to were we had in mind is about a mile and half across rough ground, after a few stops to catch our breath we got the first mark of the morning, so 100 yard of 4z longnet round and ferrets in first one out in no time then all quiet, scan round to find ferret not moving, out with the spade a quick 2 ft dig resulted in number 2, ferrets both up so pick up and move on, next sett produced 6 but another 3 digs, we got these ferrets back off a go
  7. Your putting some stuff to bed matey well done
  8. Got mine done a couple of years ago £40
  9. First trip out this year for us saw us get off to a very slow start we had a spot in mind so got ready and made our way out, only to get there and find a fresh dig by someone so that was out the window, truck back to the van and off to our "plan b" lurcher marked so longnets round and ferrets in, I left my mate to it while I went for a scout round, turned my back for a second and lurcher was retrieving one back to hand..... perfect.... nope full of myxi, went back to matey he had one clean one but things didn't look good so longnets bagged up and back to the van once again, time was getting on
  10. First running dog I had, broke to ferrets no probs had a few rabbits with her, the older she got the more injuries she picked up her back feet ended up almost flat, she saw her days out with my parents curled up by the fire.
  11. As tomo said he's a decent chap, talks a lot of sense, does a lot for public relations regarding the ferret and rabbiting all you can do is get in touch with him and see
  12. Watched mine last night, very good DVD, you just have to appreciate how many hours of footage darcy must had needed to get enough for it, so pat on back mr darcy.... great success roll on the next one ?
  13. Have I said something wrong lol ? anti!!!!!
  14. I've tried to join twice but no joy either.
  15. If I wasn't 100%sure about my dog I wouldnt let it near someone else's ferrets, on the same note I wouldn't work my ferrets with someone else's dog. It can spoil a good friendship and day out if a disaster happens
  16. Firstly I wouldn't be breeding off it for starters, I had a kit this years bred handled twice a day every day but no matter what I did all it wanted to do was bite needless to say we parted company, if your in a working situation you need to be 100%confident you can pick them up without losing a finger or two
  17. As per usual we were at our destination before day break , the ever present wind greated us as we got out of the van,we had seen a few rabbits running about so things looked promising. Once suitable hats and jackets had been chosen I had realised I had left my bag of locators and boxes in my car an hour and half away, not a problem though luckily last week my hunting partner had gone down to Shropshire to get some ferrets back that a good friend had, he was packing in with the ferreting so he came back with 6mk 3 collars 2boxes a mk1 box and collar a couple of longnets and baskets and various
  18. Thinking of putting a strong whippet over my half collie greyhound in the future
