Why would you take a goose call on a dirty weekend? It would be the last thing on my mind
  3. Typical. Hope things look up for you this season then
  4. You could have asked them had they seen the scouse version of silence of the lambs............ Shut it ewes!
  5. Did you not get any more land off shooting lodge?
  6. Really? People will be cueing up at that price!
  7. Most probably down to hormones mate,
  8. just give them the best possible start you can by either seeing rabbits drop to ground or a positive mark off a dog, then give them as much as you can.
  9. Cracking day out matey and an earlie finish too ?
  10. An earlie start saw me heading north just before 5am with lurcher and the 3jill kits I mentioned last week plus an experienced older Jill, we got to our destination just as the sun was making an appearance, the place we had in mind is a fair treat from where we park up so once we had the ferrets collared up we set off to see what we could find, as we got going there were rabbits all over the fell side so we tried to get above them and push them into the lower warrens, some cooperated and dropped to ground some just climbed higher up onto the rocks and above, here me and my mate parted company
  11. I wouldn't put anything to ground without one, ferret or terrier, it's the least you can do in this day and age
  12. LAds on here we're using jim chick,
  13. I tend to feed mine just as dusk is coming in then take anything out that's left in the morning, it seems to work for me
  14. Spot on bob, I like big strong hobs and Jill's to be on the big size too, more than capable of putting a full shift in,
  15. There a gimmick, fad, dress it up all you want at the end if the day they are just runt x runt resulting in the offspring being weak and inferior, I can't see them being any use what so ever in a working situation either
  16. I mainly work a team of albinos so I tend to put different coloured tape on there collars that way I can tell them apart,

  19. Not keen on using live critters as long range targets, but,.. 'each to their own'... Ferreted Prairie Dawgs,...it was, emotional... Iv read that in one of your books Phil, most entertaining

  23. An earlie start this morning found me making my way north up the motorway for the first trip of this season, I had 3 Jill kits off iworkwhippets off here which had done nothing and a Jill I had used last season, my mate had 4 with him, we had arranged to meet the keeper to give him a bottle of whiskey and a box of goodies. Once we got ourselves sorted out we made our way to were we had chosen to work today, there looked to be plenty of rabbit above ground so things looked promising, it wasn't long before the lurcher had us a mark so longnets round and youngsters in, after abit of messing about
