    When I lived in Birmingham there was one called Bedders on the Coventry Road, won awards. It only opened a few evenings a week. Not had better anywhere, don't know if its still there I moved from there about 20 years ago.

    We work for an Aussie guy and he was overjoyed when they beat the lions. Not so upbeat now and not looking forward to the ashes at all. Fortunately he enjoys a bit of banter and still pays his invoices on time.

    Years of wear & tear has left me with 2 degenerated discs. I'm on a daily cocktail of drugs (dyhydrocodeine, gabapentin and naproxen) and 6 monthly spinal injections. At one point a couple of years ago I was virtually crippled, barely able to move and needed help with everything. I am now able to get about and go to work (gardening) a couple of days a week. Even though I am a lot more aware of my limitations it is so easy to overdo it.

    Sat here tears rolling down my face, absolutely PMSL. A crowd of us went camping and thought we'd take some relaxing cigarettes with us. One lad had moved down south with his folks and was bragging about what he used to get up to and how he could get the best dope going. We told him ours couldn't be beaten and when he went for a piss rolled a huge joint full of sheep crap. I'll never forget him taking the first draw and saying this is really good shit.

    That is exactly what I have found!! Thanks very much, I'm looking forward to it, setting off on fri night to arrive Saturday morning so clock watching now!!! Lol Went to Cheverny in the Loire a couple of years ago to see their hounds and got chatting to a couple of people one of whom was something to do with Chasse de terre and looking after around 240 hunts.

    Like you, my French is terrible, although I am surprised what I do remember from school. I have always found that if you try to speak the lingo they are more than happy to help you along. Have a good trip and enjoy the hunting.

    Got to agree with you, thought Nile Rodgers & Chic were fantastic. I think its great some of these bands such as the stones still going but they just didn't have it in them last night. On that performance I think they should quit.
