  1. Big budgie man local to us is Geoff Capes. Would be interesting to see him get hold of some toe rag trying to nick his birds.

Don't think it would have happened a generation ago. For all their wealth and privelege they've got their feet on the ground. I like the comments to the press, do you remember when they were all on a skiing trip and Charlie said he couldn't stand that bbc reporter and it was picked up on microphones. .
  3. From what I understand the decision also has to be agreed with parents, doctor and psychiatrist so it isn't really totally in the childs hands. Personally i can't even begin to think what it must be like for a family that finds themselves in that position. Having said that I don't agree with it, a child is not allowed to do certain things because they are not mature enough to make appropriate decisions and this would be by far the most difficult decision anyone would have to make.
  4. Just watching a programme about trainee teachers and on of them took one of the kids shooting. Good to see something positive instead of the usual bullshit.
  5. Glad it ended well for you

  10. Love it, apparently Clarkson is a knob but his TV persona cracks me up. Pro hunting as well
  11. Pissed me off when that arse was saying rewilding it would have great economic benefits by bringing more tourists. What about the farmers livelihood .
  12. Blaise, some great images. I would not of thought a boar could jump like that. Thanks for sharing.
  13. Don't look down - not for me thanks
  14. I know that the Devon & Somerset staghounds have drafted hounds to France and that the Quorn have drafted hounds from France.
  15. Blaise, your posts give a fascinating insight into the way you hunt. You are so fortunate that the politicians haven't interfered with your way of life. Keep the posts coming.
  16. Just seen this...http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lincolnshire-25646894
  17. Say hi to Tim from the belvoir boys
  18. He's in trouble again is old Woy. telling reporters Kyle Walker is his favourite wight back. I'll get my coat.
  19. Seem to recall somewhere him saying we victimise rats and he has them living happily in his loft space the dirty twat. He also picked up on a letter in our local rag about birds of prey and saying there was no way the birds in question would be buzzards as they hadn't reached Lincolnshire.

The Belvoir course used to out in our best vale country and had an Irish bank about 10 feet high, seeing the open teams getting onto that and launching off it was spectacular. Don't know if I'll be there on Sunday as I'm snowed under with work. What's your team called so I can look out for them if I do manage to get there. If you're on Facebook take a look at the Belvoir hunt supporters club page and you'll find some photo's of some of the fences.

Love going to watch, feck dong it on horseback. Seen plenty of thrills and spills over the years.
  23. Another of his pieces is Finlandia. When at school we had a decent school band that I was in and one summer toured Germany, Finland & Sweden. Our musical director thought it would be an ideal piece to play at concerts while in Finland so practised to get it just right. When we got there we were told in no uncertain terms not to play it as the Finnish hate it when outsiders play it in their country.
