  2. I cant think of any other council owned grouse moor? They're privately owned and maintained as they should be, BCC should take advice from these landowners as to how to maintain what they have Y.I.S Leeview
  3. It did it was leased from Bradford City Council and they withdrew the lease and after a few years in decline this Bingley syndicate leased it and built it up, they were only allowed 8days a season on the moor. It was quite alarming the dog walkers kicked off because they could n't walk their dogs on there on shoot days and the dogs were afraid of the gunshots, the cragrats played their right to roam cards of "we can go anywhere we like" so between the dog s roaming about along with the cragrats it cant of been easy for the keepers. Now the shooters paid BCC to shoot on Ilkley Moor,How much wi

  7. Each length of twine is folded in half and a over hand knot forms a loop in the middle. 15 of these will give you 15 meshes wide. Hang them on a row of nails or hooks equally spaced at the width of the net you want, then Just take one "leg" from the pair next to it and join with a simple over hand knot. Your diamond mesh is formed by the zig zagging that comes from joining it to its neighboring strand. I dont know if Ive actually made that any clearer at all lol I think this is the way they teach on survival courses and in the military, as its a fast way to put a net together, and you can
  8. and each nail was the centre of the twine, if you were doing a 4ft net that would be a 9ft length of twine hung equally over the nail and a nail for every mesh wide you wanted the net to be. the nails were nt spread as wide as the finished net would be Y.I.S Leeview
  9. nice reply The One, when I come across a situation like that I would of cut rides through it about 3' wide every 15' top to bottom and run a longnet/stopnet down it, cuts down on too much disturbance and still leaves enough cover to keep the rabbits from moving on. Good Luck on Sunday Y.I.S Leeview

"Down to Earth" was founded in 1991 by a group of lads around Ashington,Squeak joined 3yrs later after tagging along with his brother Wayne to see what all the crack was and became mesmerised by dogs and lamping. They did nt do shows they worked they're dogs so came up with a comp between themselves: where by whenever they decided to go out lamping they had to inform someone they would be out,now this person had to stay up until they got back and witnessed what had been taken and a score w

I watched it and it turned into a "freedom of speech" issue, there was probably one muslim in the audience who asked a question,Mehdi Hasan the Huffington Post political columnist came over as a typical (imho) muslim with his "Im muslim and Im right" attitude he was rude to the other panelists shouting them down if they corrected him. 21. it is a personal choice,I was given some very nice looking SS end pins to try and just could nt get on with the noise they made so passed them on and went back to mild steel Y.I.S Leeview
  22. Personally I do not like stainless for end pins, I know they look good and will last forever, but give me good old mild steel ones every time, preferably rusty ones. The reason being that the stainless point on the pins is too slippery to grip the net when it's hanked on it, one lapse in concentration and the whole net is on the floor, as I found to my cost as the first ones I made were from stainless. My preferred metal of choice now is 6mm black mild steel left to go rusty then rubbed down with fine wire wool, it leaves just enough roughness for the net to grip on the end pins and stop it
