  1. Weighing eggs through out the incubation is the correct way of doing it. I don't I just do as I put.
  2. Buy a r-com these are top mate. I have a r-com 50 as a hatcher. Can't beat in it my eyes.
  3. If your humidity is too high during incubating your chick's grow to big in the egg and the air sack at the top isn't big enough for the chick's to break out and use the space to spin there head round to start piping out. Like I've said is previous posts buy a hygrometer off eBay around £15 and keep your humidity at 35-40% for 18 days them for the last 3 days up it to 65-70%. It's works boys I've messed around with all different makes over the years and it works with them all.
  4. Bring on James degale. I think he's ready for the test and I think he'll be victorious.
  5. Also I'd like to add. It all depends on where the incubator is situated down the the natural humidity levels. Cold damp room produces more humidity than one what's dry and bright. What works for one doesn't work for others . I've messed around with all sorts of different makes over the years and as long as there running straight around 37.5 temp you can manage the rest. By like I said in my last post by a hygrometer £15 well spent.
  6. Don't open the doors until all chick's have hatched. You've lost all the humidity in doing so and the egg sacks have dried out resulting in the remaining eggs not hatching. By a hygrometer off eBay if measures humidity. Run it at around 35-40% for 18 days then push it up to 70% for the last 3 days. It's also measure the temp so you'll know if your incubator is running at a true temp. I've brought eggs back from the states and had 29 outta 36 so the proof is in the pudding.
  7. Stunning. What I call countryside.
  8. Was the incubator opened during hatching.
  9. Yeah it might say it on the incubator. Put a separate thermometer in and check it.
  10. You'll find your incubator is running at a little higher temp then it should be 37.6 or 37.7 and they'll hatch earlier. Same as if it's running under 37.5 they'll hatch a day or 2 late.
  11. Gapes makes them make a snicking sound. Use flubenvet or Panacure. If it's respiratory use tylan or Linco spectrum. Best way to check if it's respiratory is close it's beak and put 2 fingers over there nostrils. They will start blowing bubbles out the corners of there eyes if they have it.
  12. Proper nut case. I reckon u use them to dispose of the body's.
  13. The police and rspca can only enter your premises with a search warrant. They have to be issued by a magistrate. They'll only issue them on grounds with enough evidence. Putting up videos and pictures on social media sites is enough evidence. These Dicks videoing dogs in action is what's killing or should I say KILLED the game. No one deserves to be raided by these scumbags but come on some are just fecking clowns in the game.
  14. Takes some believing. My mate had a hen hatch 13 chicks in a magpies next in a blackthorn bush. 2 years running.
  15. Yes it works. I use the coloured drinking pots for chickens . Cheap enough on ebay
  16. Dilly dog . I'm getting worried about you by the looks of that brindle pup I can see a pigeon loft being erected next.
  17. Well it would help if we knew how big it was?

    Partridge?

Partridge not a chance mate. Could be woodcock but I very much doubt it this early.Saw woodcock chick's 25 years ago but that's the one and only time.
  19. 6 week old mallard growers are around £3.50 depends were you get them from alot easier them messing with eggs when you only need a small amount. I've found there best off been fed away from the water . I feed 400 up to a wood with the pheasants. I release them straight on the water at 6 weeks.feed them once aday . They come weeks before the pheasants but everytime I go to feed I whistle them. Ducks are greedy they soon get to know that the whistle is feed time. When the pheasants get pulled up to the wood they come up . Make a bloody mess and the pheasants Do take a little time to get use to
  20. The old Glevum can be converted to electric if it isn't already
