  1. must be fully trained and not just a pup. Surely you could buy a pup for way less after all training your own pup is most of the fun.look them up you'll see what they cost. All well bred gundog be it cockers, labs ,hpr's are all £700 + a pup. You can buy any bred for less but do your homework buy from tested parents. Yes you'll pay more but there's a lot bigger chance them making the grade. They'll be loads cheaper bred by people breeding them for money. I paid £400 for my Lab off a bloke who trialled labs flat out. Her mother was a Field trial award winner but not a champion at the time.

  4. I've seen English partridge poults put in a 10 x 10 in wild bird mix at 7 weeks old. A pair of wild english took all of them on I think there was about 25 in total. English partridge have a very strong maternal instinct. Unlike the french.

  16. As much light as you can for the 1st 2-3 days so they as much food and water inside them. After that the light will needs reducing massively either by closing windows or covering windows. If not they'll start pecking. Either toes,vents or eyes. All people bit at different ages. Some start as early as 8 days or before in some cases. I like to get em as near to 3 weeks as possible.   17. I've heard of lads using it in poultry. The problem is it takes all the good bacteria away aswell as the bad. Good husbandry and you won't need it. Try cider vinegar or garlic cloves in the water 1st.
