THE ONLY PROBLEM ???????????Topper are you sure you're a terrierman ? The only problem is indulging in some alcohol. Sorry, but I fail to see a problem, . most terriermen I know have a drink problem, that being, they have 2 hands and only the one mouth

if the proper materials are available to hand ie.large flat stone or some thick fresh branches cut to size with folding saw I will use if its mid tube, small earth, or a stop over earth, sometimes in hard or arkward ground I like to keep the old stop intact,as its a hell of a lot easier opening up an old scar, instead of giving yourself the same hardship in tight ground because the new stop has moved a couple of feet from old dig, having said that most places that can handle it,its a straight backfill

ive got a pic knocking about somewhere, but not really anybody's place to go postin pics of another mans dog,

Think so,dont hold me to that as im not 100% sure as AC also has a dog now called Nigger. What colour was he? Off white

Many a brave dog has turned coward but I've as yet to see a coward make a brave dog

Imo the bitch is always under estimated when the offspring do well, it always seems to be the dog that gets the bulk of the credit. For me the bitch is as, if not more important than the dog, It's also my opinion that a good steady honest worker that goes up the gears as needed is harder to produce than an out an out hard dog

No,but they will do if they are ever sucsessfull in getting terrier and lurcher work banned,so keep this in mind ,

Have always gifted pups, but having said that,I have Never been gifted a pup,

Taz seems a good sort, only point id make is,once money is exchanged all rights are waved, like pup back further down the road if needed or use of dog as stud if needed or if the dog leaves the other mans yard it comes back to breeder etc. Etc.

Any Advice On What's Going On With My Terrier ?
smasher replied to fox assasin's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
Could be you unknowingly clipped him with the spade previously on break through ,which has made him spade shy,the fact he works flawless until the crucial moment suggests he has had a bad experience at this point in the dig. -
There's no such thing as a breathable waterproof jacket,if it lets the air out,you can be damm sure it will let the water in,at best they are shower proof and should be labelled so,and with a proper waterproof jacket you'll get wet anyway from sweat/condensation ,I always pack a spare set or 2 of dry clothes for after a wetting and the drive home,

I have an old peips box here with faulty switch and chipped screen I sent them an email to which there reply was peips deal with the repairs and once there over 5 years old they are deemed at the end of there working life and therefore won't repair them, so you might have to bite the bullet and buy new one On a side note if anyone has an old peips box that doesn't work but casing is good im interested?

One of the best terriers I've ever seen, was by a dog that was well over 10 year old and a very good digging dog,in fact he died not long after of old age,and up until then never produced much, but having said that most of what was brought to him was sub standard

On sandy digs keep it wide and keep it square, and avoid working directly over the dog

And a couple of handfuls is good quality bog roll and not the stuff your finger bursts through
