Wildfowlers have stuck to the ban on lead religiously. So much so that any member having a lead cartridge with him on a marsh will automatically be excluded from the club. No the ducks shot with lead are from syndicates and pay per day type duck shoots. Wildfowlers are squeeky clean on this. The ban is voluntary for now but the shooting orgs are asking mp's to draft legislation to ban it in law. Oh and the factory built with EU money is in Spain not Italy.

Don't forget the ban on coal and wood too!

Good shooting with the old musket, but i feel i must inform you that the first day of spring isn't till March the 20th.?
-
According to that video it is a voluntary ban they are looking for. None of the shooting organisations are legislators which is a good thing. I am not going to volunteer, but will continue to spray lead around as i have always done. I have always been an "eco terrorist".?

Sold out by those who are supposed to represent our interests. All in the name of keeping jobs for the boys at BASC et al: and paying them to run around in Range Rovers.

Shame you didn't muller the pair.

He looked to be a few years old and they are best out of the way now before they start lambing.

I certainly will, but the weather will have to get much better before i go sitting in a pop up hide.

I have been itching to get out foxing for a good few days but was unable to due to the weather. After checking the forecast for tonight i rang my mate to see if he fancied a few hours out . Well of course he did, so we arranged for him to pick me up in his adapted for shooting land rover at seven. I had decided to go to a particular land owners farms tonight in a village about eight miles from my own. The first port of call is actually two farms together but owned by the same family which makes for a decent expanse of land. We started at the back of the farm which is arable and consists of thr

I use a Solaris SRX and don't have a problem spooking foxes. I have used LED i/r torches in the past with AS pills in them and they definately do spook foxes that are lamp shy.
-
Which illuminator are you using with n/v? Buy a 940nm trail cam, they can't see a red glow because there isn't one.
-
Sounds like some lamping type scrote has missed it with a red lamp.? I get quite a few of them here and they can be a real challenge.

Good luck!

Good nights shooting, but how are there so many on the ground. It must not have been shot on for a good while.

I bought one of these when they where first imported by Hull cartridges. I had it for six months but couldn't get on with it, too heavy. I chopped it in against a new Sharps Ace which i still have after nearly forty years. I killed a lot of rabbits with the sharps. I always wanted a feinwerkbau sport but couldn't afford one. Then i found a minter 127 about eight years ago, still has the ASI sticker on the cylinder and fitted with an ASI 4x40 scope. It was in a localish gunshop that had no clue what it was so i bought it for 175 pound. I was very happy indeed. -
I just couldn't take it any more!

That is very nice apart from the pistol grip, single trigger, beavertail forend and multi chokes. ? -
If it fits and is cheap enough go for it, just bear in mind you can't get spares for them now.

Amongst the dozen or more shotguns i own are an AYA yeoman, AYA No 3 and an AYA No 4 twenty bore. The yeoman i bought from my mates rfd shop for ninety pounds during the summer and i used it pigeoning. I was so taken with it i used it on every syndicate day bar one. -
Any particular reason it needs to be lrf?
-
You will have no problem with that. Which Pard are you getting the 008?
-
I love pigeon shooting, especially in the wind.
-
Are you on the pigeons this afternoon?

Friday nights are a good time for me to go foxing again as Mrs M likes to watch certain things on the box and i don't. I especially wanted to go last night for two reasons (A) i had blanked the night before and i wanted to put that right and, (B) the weather forecast for the next few days is certainly not conducive to mooching about looking for foxes. I already had it in my head to go to my favourite spot on the keepered shoot as i thought a fox may have moved in now after i had shot a pair on the fifteenth of last month, a full three weeks and two days ago. I picked my mate up and got to the

I don't usually get lurgy type things but having the grandkids round is always risky, they are walking germ bags.
