  1. Well done on shooting the fox. Do yourself a favour and make an official complaint, you don't need her details as the call will be logged along with who took it. I would also email the PCC for your area complaining in the strongest terms also email your chief constable. That kind of shit needs stamping on as forcefully as possible. Don't let it go, it's wrong.
  2. Just like my old bitch Linnet, very nice!
  3. That dog looks to have really flat feet or is it the angle in the photo?
  4. Well done SL ! it's just to be hoped the dog fox if there is one doesn't move them.
  5. I wish i could do that but i can't. I have everything printed off 68 firearms act any ammendments, home office guidance etc in fact anything that the feo could claim something was part of. Whenever they say i should be doing such and such i hand them the paperwork and ask them to point out where it is in legislation. They never can. I now never get bothered.?
  6. To be honest Gav that attitude is what the rogue feo's rely on. They prey on people who want"an easy life" and so get to bully and intimidate them into doing things that aren't neccessary or even lawful. The trouble is it then becomes the norm in that area, in other words they get away with it and then dream up another restriction to push their agenda.
  7. I too am quite rural but what they are having you do is completely ott and isn't legal enforcing it. I would not only challenge it but would refuse point blank to do it.
  8. I don't care what the feo likes or wants or requests, Security is ultimately the fac holders responsibility and nothing to do with them. It isn't law that you keep them separate and i only work to the letter of the law not some feo whims.
  9. ^^^^This^^^^^ I forgot my bolt once in the early days of firearms shooting. Lesson learnt, they never ever come out of the rifles now except to clean then they go straight back in.
  10. You need to stick to bird books! 22.250 is not a necked down 243 it is a necked down 250.3000 savage cartridge. I have tried several 17 rems and they are not a patch on 22.250 or .204 cartridges.
  11. Right so we have gone from a foxing/deer allrounder to a foxing/deer,target shooting rifle. I wouldn't know if any of those calibres are suitable for the type of target shooting you intend to do because i don't shoot targets. However if you intend to shoot targets then i don't believe a light sporter barrel is the option to go for, i would think the varmint barrel may be more suitable. Twist rate for 243 is generally 1-10.
  12. I would want a substantial reduction in price if they had that ugly twats mug shot on them.?
  13. Have you bred a litter from the Bedlington, whippet bitch? The reason i ask is i saw an advert for Bedlington x whippet pups yesterday. The advert had a picture of a whippet dog and a picture that i am sure is the one here of a bedlington x whippet bitch.
  14. Lamps are just fine and dandy till you get a lamp shy fox. A lot of the foxes i have to deal with have run the gauntlet and been well educated. Nothing worse than sitting waiting for three or four hours for a fox to turn up then when it does and you light it up, it's off like a whippet out of trap one. It is really, no REALLY disheartening.
  15. Of the three calibres you have short listed i would go .243 all day long. Deer legal and if using 55/58grn bullets on fox very fast and flat which is a big advantage at night.
  16. Well done SD! or are you actually Rolf Harris out on licence, the beard is a giveaway.?
  17. Pah! Cumbria/Durham all the same, it pisses down for ten months of the year then drips off the trees for the other two. ?
  18. DON'T LIE! That isn't Cumbria it isn't pissing down.?
  19. That is the best place for a crow, on it's back with it's feet in the air!
  20. Yes it is a waste of time shooting cubs without first shooting the dog and vixen, after all it is the parents doing the damage.
  21. Well done on getting your fox with a new rifle! Cracking little scopes those pards for the money i think. However next time try to be a little more sporting. Shooting the poor chap in the back of his swede whilst having forty winks just isn't done old chap bad form and all that! ?
  22. Persistence usually pays off when after old Reynard, well done! Oh and i reckon a replacement will turn up in about a fortnight.
  23. Good shooting! with the added knowledge that every crow you shoot something else benefits.
  24. That second picture looks like a sunset in Africa, but then again so does most of the North East.?
