jack was very good dog , fox, deer, no prob. a couple of my mates, went out with joe lamping and seen jack run that night , from what they said plenty of pace, good stamina, good strike, very impressed with jack. joe always preferred the 1/4 bull x 3/4 greys , liked dogs quick but enough guts in them when needed . there were some good bullxs bred round Brum, and the black country in the 80-90s , not sure if the still good following of that type dogs around them places today .?

might be wrong, but think Arthur had some of joe smith of Brum, stuff in his breeding , my 1/4 bull 3/4 grey i had in the 80s came out of joe's 1x bull x grey nugget , and that was cracking bitch, tackle anything she was put on .?

Spot on mick, a Aj done the right thing all night as he said the art of boxing is hit with out being hit your self, that's what Ali tried to do most of is career. Being lighter deff helped him with stamina and timing, he still has enough power with his new weight to stop most fighters. Ruiz will like Aj did, have to change things if wants to fight Aj or any other fighter really, drop 1 1/2st =21 pound and he be threat again to Aj or who ever. Hope he fights the winner of Wilder vFury, either one will prob stop Aj. Prob more like Wilder with a KO, great times for heavyweights right now?

fair point joe, with tall dogs , i know this sounds daft even though Buck 28in 90 lb , even if over runs stuff, he get back on track quick , he like bryn like that both have good pace/agilty , as said collies and gsd are both like that . he picks rabbits up easy, his best bag 38 in the lamp, your right alsatians are naturally fast dogs, so stick running dog in the mix, there that more quicker. with my big dog he covers the ground quick, with his long stride, he on his quarry quite quick . in my mind there like big collie x greys , and colliexs are fast and agile lurchers.

true, better of with nice lurcher x lurcher, alot of lads on here breed good working stuff, and even if you dont work it , it still more healthy and more brain tha pure deerhound, i like deerhounds , they have nice temps . but like most big dogs they got fair few health probs . a lurcher = hybrid x bred dog 100% better choose , and be lot more cheaper to buy for a start .!

I grew up on the most poverty stricken place in uk where was that mate,? i grew up in W-ton in the 50s , none of us lot on the counsel estate had much, roof over our heads , some thing to eat , thats about it . W-ton a city now, but its spot the white man the thing today and if they am white they dont speak English , glad i left place when i did 40 year ago .

sounds great young dog for somebody that, and a sound price as well for a quality animal . yup with all the crap you get with daytime dogs, will piss most people off in the end, but feckin lamping getting as bad , if you jump over the fence like most of us do or have done, put a lamp on now, every fecker after you, glad iam not starting out now , had my 30 years messing about with lurchers and lamps . how tony and andy or kevin these days , not seen them for good few years , last time was with Tug , happy days them , wasn't they .?

mate it dont matter who you vote for, hunting with lurchers , coursing dogs, and terriers will never be over turned fact, just them on horse back hunting will still get away with it. they wont get jail sentence like them lad lamping rabbits. i never vote for corbyn and that black fooker who sits by him , but dont get fooled by Boris , he like the rest, promises , the earth , but never delivers on what they say . i vote for him/ Tories , but dont hold your breath , just hope they can get enough votes on the day .

what would you use on that deerhound x grey pup you just had for the future ? like said now i am getting older, dont really want another big lurcher like Buck is. somthing say 23 -25 in 50-70lb , with good coat . i prob go for wheatenx grey x collie x grey, or beddyx grey x collie x grey both throw good coat and agile type dogs somthing like that for the future , as long as the temps are good, as you know what ever i get it have to get on with Buck , living with him, old Bryn and him get on well in same kennel/run . no rush though , old bryn 12, apart from arthritis fro t wrist
