bird replied to Adamposh's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs

how did Keith get on from his 2nd appointment at the hospital go ?, was to say how is health regards blacking out etc , hope he got the all clear, and can keep a dog. no doubt about it, having a dog deff get you out about, and if a terrier or a lurcher will be that more interesting walk. i know few old people 70-80s with dogs and there dogs keep them fit, they call me a young'un at 67 lol , hope your ok Keith if you read this thread on the post .

nice pup , should have some good sport with him, when he older. my 1/4 pit 3/4 grey looked bit like him, racy but good head and strong body, and nice temp like your pup, i found my other bullxs not bad temps as well. what his he 3/8 bull 5/8 grey ? i always like the 2nd gen 1x me self, get a racy pup from this breeding and you get good lurcher.

yes mate , i done bit at a ABA club as teenager , with good coaches , and latter on when older did karate / weights for 3 years. ive always been strong quite fit, all my life with the work i did labouring on sites, and brewery work hand balling 3000 kegs a day, you soon get strong doing that all day, lplus my dad and granddad were naturaly strong blokes,i am just under 6ft near 13 stone good weight that for my age .
-
not many mate, only 5 fook all i know , but won them thats the main thing . alot of blokes always go for head shots, well as you know most people cover up, so best to work on the ribs, kidneys , as there elbows will cover there gut . once few good bangs in the ribs/kidneys , they start to drop the guard down then get couple in side of the head (temple ) that always works, for you to finish them off . last fight i had years ago was with big paki where i once worked , he was good 4 in taller and 2-3 stone heavier than me, i did the above, and decked him , twice , and he packed up . tha

i am not a collie fan, got one now , and had couple others. they deff will call the shots regards how much work there going to do, and not you . they are type of dog that do think abit to much about the job at hand, instead of just dong it . It was one of the reasons i went for a Alsatian x grey for, i wanted similar type temp , a dog with good brain , but stronger prey drive, one bit more full on temp regards hunting, and my big dog deff as compared to my collie x grey . funny thing i was taking to a farmer the other day, regards collies about there temps. said that are deff a thinkin

Does Castration Affect a Working Dogs Ability?
bird replied to talt's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
yes it does , more so a running dog . it will take that bit of fire out of them , it gives a more of a calm temp deff in males , many a time i come across male dogs that had there nuts off , and my 2 males who not been done always , show i an interest in them lol. i asked my vet what is going on with them, surely they know there still males, vet said yes they know, but alot of castrated dogs , give off a soft sign to other males abit like some bitches. of course you get some dogs that have hard type temps dogs and bitches more so with differnt breeds, but dogs like lurchers, sight hound -
quite few bulldog yards in America , use big plastic drums, dropped on wedges . looks like the dogs are on long chains, and most dogs wont shit where sleep/kennel. But there kept like that because , if kept in a run like you would keep other type dogs etc together , it be blood bath with bulldogs, so it easier and cheaper to chain them . when i was kid growing in the 50s , our dogs were let out in the morning, there were just heinz 57s lol , but brought back in tea time 60 pm , and put on chain/ kennel, mind you he was fooker for fighting, he looked colliex staff type , go to allotment whe

true mate, it was prob to tell, if the dogs in question, were apbt, or staffxs , and like been said , if they ask for pic of the certain dog, other breeds, most people with bit of savy , can tell with in reason, what gone in the breeds . like not so long back, a girl i see few times with her 2 dogs, one deff a whippet = size/ structure , the other dog, deff got drop of saluki in it , it taller , ear carriage saluki , it smooth and bit bigger than whippet . i told her it got saluki in prob 3/4 whippet . she had the dna , done and only 2 breeds in it, i told and i could save her few qu

i reckon , if that was done in the UK and America , for bad crimes like this, and terrorists , child killers etc, the public would vote to bring the death penalty back . lets face it, bullet back the head, far better than, hung up with a rope, or burned to death in electric chair . hope them 2 scumbags get it .
