  1. Dogs for me, you can work all year. Bitchs you carnt
  2. I am a colliex fan, ive 3 and a bitza with collie in it. All were easy to train, and good temp. Alot can be a bit sensitive, but so are quite few lurchers of any x, even some bullxs.? All my colliexs were home bred by mates, and were socialised as soon as there eyes were open, and till they left they left the litter. The prob with some Hancock pups, he as that many, that he carnt give the time to all the pups that he as. So you will get some temp probs. I am not saying all , but more chance there than because , of his situation he is in. Regards your pup, you have got to Bond with it, as
  3. If i wanted a x of that mold, i would go for a Malx whippetxgrey. Plenty of speed, power, guts, and what you need in a dog to catch game Agilty. Ive had big dogs, and they did catch, [bullxs, colliexs, bitzs,] all 70-80lbs, and carnt see GSDx , being any better than the otherxs.?? My 1x collie grey,is 24in 58lb and he is 15 months old. He as had 85 rabbits,3 hares, from 17 nights lamping, not bad for a young dog. Ive had lurchers 25years, and if i learned anything, you dont need a big dog to catch any game .? I had a bitza bitch 25in 55lb, and she was the best catch dog i ever had Size+power
  4. Nice bit of sport that, i love mooching about with the dog. If he gets a couple , he as done well, any daytime rabbits are hard to catch.? Well done good bag that.
  5. Go for a grew= whippetx grey, good on rabbits, and will take bigger stuff, say a dog or bitch about 22-24in 35-45lb. With a quick dog , once it learns to strike, it will catch quicker, so its stamina wont be pushed to the limit. The down side with whippet's [ped + no ped and grews] is lack of coat , some foot probs, they can be a bit reckless, more so lamping thats where there coat+feet , take some stick but they do make great catch dogs
  6. We got it here, and it still coming down, not sticking but some of the roads are like Ice- Rings
  7. I all ways liked Bird's of prey [ Golden Eagle......] and a seen G.E hunting on the tel+vid, and thought what a Great Bird it is , thats it Bird.
  8. Then why have them ? True, how many really have enough work for two dogs, and you dont sell good un's.
  9. There for another day but twice as shy!! Allways good to get them first time round. True,, a good honest post, with foxes it comes down to each dog, and not a type of x , as this as been proved.?????
  10. winter for hunting, you carnt beat it i would rather be cold, than sweating my balls off.???
  11. thats why i put it up mate, get that all the time Well done, yes but only if they aint to heavy, and alot are.?? And yes i had two [ 3/8 , 1/4 both were 77-70 lb. Good for there size, but other xs of the same weight were more Agile.??
  12. The black+white dog, it looks like it would catch more stuff. The other dog just looks like a guard dog..??
  13. Spot on mate, my 1x collie grey has good coat for the winter, but not so good for the summer
  14. Nice looking bitch, how much bull in her, and is there anything else in her.?
  15. how old is he mate and where abouts are you Its 2years + 3months old???, why you getin rid of it, if it does all that.???
  16. Spot on, Yes they have to have the heart for it , and the feckin legs, and be agile, foxes aint slow ,they can twist+turn , they can be hard to catch for any x.?
  17. Went out sat night, got 6 from 9 runs, all retrieve's were great he was spot on. The last rabbit was a squatter, he ran down the beam, and stoped about 6ft from the rabbit , i thought i would have to walk down with the lamp, the rabbit moved its head and he took it right out of the seat , Feckin Great it was a great night , he missed a bigger rabbit, still you carnt have every thing.
