    I think it comes down each dog, my old bitch bitza[ greyxwhippetxcolliexgreyx?grey]was a fast dog,but she would old back, and only strike at the right time. Then ive seen some dogs, and you think if it was shade quicker, it would have caught that. Brains yes, but they got to catch it first??.

    dose anyone run there dog while in height obviosly it would have to be run solo or with bitches, the reason i ask is a mate of mine who is into his grey's and he leaves his dogs off for about 6weeks if they break down? Thats why i would go for a dog and not a bitch. Some bitches [lurchers] can take 4-6 weeks before they are ready run again, so twice a year, and if you hunt say 6-7 months of the year, it can be a feckin pain when you really need a dog.     SPOT ON, ive got 1x collie grey, he is 16 month old 24 ins 58lb, he as had 93 rabbits , 3 hares, in the lamp. There not a hare dog really, so i try to keep to rabbits if i can. I find hares are hard for 1x collie grey, maybe 3/4 grey 1/4 collie, makes a better hare dog, but 1x collie grey are great rabbit dog and thats what i use him for, and 93 rabbits from 18 nights lamping, aint bad for a 16 month old young dog.

    Same here, had 3/8 collie 5/8 grey, 26 ins 70lb. He was strong dog, rabbits, fox,deer, no prob. Caught a few hares, he used find them him self, took them out the seat, not a hare coursing dog, but a feckin good bag filler. He would kill a fox quick, once he got bit a few times. In my eyes a good alrounder.

    Keep the beam to the floor, keep calling when the fox gets in Arc of the light [ just out side the beam] you will see it and your dog will, slip the dog. With all foxes , once you have found them in the beam, from then on keep the light of the fox. Not saying you will get every one, but it is very Effective.

    not all dogs get biten , and are marked up to the bone , does a fox dog always have to be scarred up to the max? a mates bitch is 100% fox proven at 5 years old , not a mark on her , ... but im sure if this is a genuine sale , the seller wouldnt mind showing a potential buyer it graft , its what you would expect with all the shite flying about . True, my old bitch [bitza] 25ins 55lb, had her for 14years. The first 1/2 dozen she got, she got marked on face, but after that no way, she would grab+shake the shit out of them, and it was feckin quick. Ididnt and dont just have a dog
