  5. there no doubt about it , border collies, kelpies , or there xs make great mooching /feretting dogs, they seem to have natural feel for it, old Bryn still brill at it finding game anything with a pulse lol , nice mooching dog that rough/ready handle any cover, my 2 will go through anything to get game, more so my big dog, he gets down low and crawls through lol .
  6. he looks bit them old recreated bulldogs that going around, the Leavett bulldog , looks bit similar him , and if was having one the Leavitt would be the type. when we had staffs in the 60s when i was a kid, ours were more like the apbt's that around today, they were leggy , and came from the black country = walsall , tipton, wolves , etc .
  7. when this happening then , getting pissed off with it now, , yep get the dogs in the water great for there joints , my wimps wont swim though , they only go up to there chest , wimps lol
  8. yeh wilf , he only got a 1/4 of it right E/P , it 100 time worse mate
  9. on the money wilf with (multi cultural harmony ) it dont work mate , and it never will , there to much dislike, and none trusting on all sides , ive have voted for labour, tory , i am no tory , but i could never vote labour with jeremy corbyn leading the country , he have us back to the 70s , 3 days week etc, i was working or should tried to work back then.!! i grew up in it , so you got to move forward with growth investment keep the country trying to pay for it self , not keep having things on the never never , and keep borrowing , and not paying enough Back .! t
  10. your old school wilf lol, fair play mate , i came from a background like that, i am 65 was in 52 ,most were like you back then, my old dad had worked as engineer 40 hours a week , and worked sat/sunday doing other jobs to get extra money , mom stayed home with us 4 kids , he was fair but would hit you if you played up , i had few hidings for getting trouble , come close to going off the rails = police when young / and older you need star in your life stability to progress deff
  11. sound that, it should work out great for you will the big apbt go back to another apbt, and you get maybe another bitch in future , i like them great breed in the right hands, my bitch was sound with people and other dogs if they were ok with her , its pity they macho pricks had them over here , and it was near enough finished the breed off with the ban etc , if you ever get any pups be nice to see them , pm if you want
  12. he deff confedient little thing lol, like said earlier the best type to get in any type dog, just seen the size , and think you said it most whippet with just touch of stag . i just thought that maybe the stag ( might ) come bit more regards its size , as there a big dog, but your right he not got that over big bone to him like you get in some stag pups, yeh could go 23in 40 lb, as when i had none ped whippet bitch, some male down the track made 23in 35-40lb , they had greyhound and staff in them in generations back, tough little dogs up for anything lol. you have him bouncin
  13. great pup that plenty of confidence , carnt stand any type of pup what ever the breed , i there nervous or timid , pits look good with it , nice temps they got , what size do you think it might make .? 26 in 60lb . !
  14. well done the paddys , good win and good team , wonder if eddie jones will jump ship now ???, we got to regroup and get back to basics , and find some grit, if we can ? we went on the pitch with nothing. But i am still happy my football team won great 3 points Come On the WOLVES
  15. should be ok 1/4 collie plenty , and 3/4 grey will give it a nice steady calm temp, and in the house it will bond that bit better with you, regards hancock what put me off his dogs is they never seen a feckin rabbit in there life there in there kennel 24/7 . i rather get a pup from dogs that done something , there plenty of lurcher x lurcher dogs out there that caught rabbits, i would have looked there 1st. But you prob be ok with the type of breeding with your pup, best of luck with it, keep us updated with and few pics .
  16. true mate , and in fact they would have done the work of the butches dog holding the bull no prob , but even few apbts were getting HD = bad hips and few other probs , maybe these ones weren't from the proper working lines , that i heard about, and the working strain more healthier and not over big either 30-55lb dogs drop of there blood or greyhound you get a good type healthy dog . like said i came out of bullmastiffs because they were in real bad state health wise , and got in to lurchers 30 years ago , and never looked back , great dogs whatever the x
  17. yeh there abd in them, pit , bull mastiff , and your right really regards price even £ 300 over the top for a x bred dog, but the prob soft people will keep paying daft prices for dog feckin cockapoos go for £ 800 quid . and to pay£ 2000 quid for a dog full of health probs and short lived stupid the Leavitt Bulldog is improvement on a ebd , at least will live more healthy longer life , but you can imagine they ask daft price for these dogs , because they know people will pay the asking price of ebd . If you really wanted a healthy type dog that got the look of bull in it ,

    Stephen Hawking

true, very clever man always said when we loose a man of his caliber , R I P professor
  19. just watched the program BBC1 about British Bulldogs, and what terrible thing to watch , the breed is nothing to what it was when it was 1st bred to its job holding a bull and other work to help the butcher . The KC should hold her head in shame , and 90% of breeders today, the poor animal is suffering for it, what its come down is just feckin greed ( money ) they are very popular today, a EBD pup sells for £2000 . They had on the program Levitt Bulldogs , which are x bred Bulldogs with 3 other breeds x back in to ebd , and they look great compared to a ebd , 100% better
  20. and how the dog brought up mate, my 2 are kenneled together , but have there own space if they want it. But the older dog never barks , and big dog just copied him, both are friendly to people. Now i know if he have been kenneled with say jack or say a collie , dogs that make good watchdog, i reckon he would have started to guard deff . But i wouldn't want him aggressive with people , dont forget he more fitter/ healthy , and prob stronger, faster than pure gsd , as he hybrid = 1x g x grey , so he be bloody handful if he was nasty , get nice jack mate they good watchdog
  21. bird

    Shar Pei.

think Stabber on here had one x with staff, so not as bad a pure , and think he said it was good guard dog as well, must be them then shar pei , as norm staffs are very friendly with people .
  22. well suppose mate , we should only go on the dog you use, mine been very good dog , had lot of rabbits with, and even though he big dog, he picks rabbits quite easy , he got long stride , covers the ground quite quick , he agile and not bad pace to him, and enough grit in him if anything else popped up in front of him . . being 1/2 gsd he been easy to train, very loyal, likes people so crap guard dog lol, good with other dogs, he move away from them if they try to start on him , good job really with his size and strength . regards sheep he good he wont touch them, it was easy training
  23. nice dog not to big , nice for rabbiting day/night , prob put bit more fire in to it, than what a collie would , keep us posted how he does towards the end of the season, by then he should have few rabbits .
