  1. Thanks lads, thought she had lost the plot and had it in for the other Jill. Poor hob, I also know what its like living with a female that will go mental out of the blue and blame it on hormones.
  2. Hi all, I have a vac hob and two Jill's (the Jill's are litter mates), all three are coming on for 14 months old. One of the Jill's has started dragging the other about by the scruff and won't let her out of the sleeping area. Any time the other Jill gets away the dominant one will chase her down and drag her back in. Her neck pretty red and getting marked up. Alex This is my first time with ferrets so no idea what is up, any help would be great.
  3. Thanks for the advice. Going to get some pipe and let them get use to running through and being picked up. They handle well in their normal settings but all the excitement of being in burrows and pipes will be different.
  4. If you find any and if there are spare can you let me know? Could do with one more.
  5. Sorry, I'm sure this has been asked before, tried search but couldn't find it, hopeless with things like that. I have 3 ferrets, 2 Jill's and a hob, all in their first season working. When the hob is coming out of the warren after working he'll come to you when called. The Jill's are different, one thinks its a game and likes to run away or dive back down the hole, the other sulks at the hole and will go back down when you try and lift her. Any advice on how to get them to not mess about as much. Took me ages to get one of my Jill's back yesterday, felt a total idiot. Its my first
  6. Sorry to hear about your 2 ferrets, gutting when you loose good workers that have seen you through difficult times. Hope you get fixed up with agood worker.
  7. Excellent to see people passing on a bit of knowledge and taking the time with new people, more chance of them doing the same in years to come. Good right up as well.
  8. I would have definitely paid the extra. So I had to go away this week for a couple of days and that's when it came, typical. Still that's me back now so after work I am emptying the kids piggybanks and heading to the gun dealer :-D haha i'll be going mad after a month Shame you can't pay for a super fast service like with passport be worth £100 or maybe £200 haha
  9. Well it feels like Christmas day:-) Fac and shotgun license has just come through the door. 5 weeks wait (Aberdeenshire)so not to bad.
  10. 2 Jill's and 1 hob. Hob is the better worker at the moment but has started to kill down the hole......(its the first season for all 3).
  11. I have been waiting a month so far for the license to come through the door, feel like a kid waiting on Christmas......
  12. Welcome looking forward to seeing pics of the new pup
  13. Sorry to hear this mate, gutted for you. Wish you were closer, ferrets look cracking. All the best.
  14. Does anyone have an albino going in Scotland? Can pickup anywhere in Aberdeenshire or between Aberdeen and Dunfermline. Thanks
