Get down the local waste ground get a carrier bag of Japanese knot weed roots. Dig a 6" narrow trench along the fence line chuck a few roots in and neatly cover over. Both the knotweed and you will enjoy your new house.job done.

Good advice above. Have you got a ferreting dog. If so let the dog out out it might track the kit. Hope you get him back.

Just get a bull x and be done with it. I use mine for ferreting he marks 100%. Went out last Sunday ferreting every burry he marked there was rabbits at home. I've tested his nose enough times by dropping a ferret I to a burry he hasn't marked.and there's been no rabbits in.

Give a bell a try chaff.Great around big brambles bushes and thick hedges as arry said.you would be unlucky for the ferret to sneak out the back without you hearing it. Sometimes they will fill a bit with fine soil. Maybe after half a days ferreting. Just tap the soil out and a quick blow and they are good to go.

A 100% marking dog is invaluable. And makes a huge difference to a days ferreting.

I bought 1 of these about February time and it's been faultless.never needed to remove the battery and recharge it.the solar panel does a cracking job of keeping it charged. No messing about with cables etc. Just 2 little nails hook it on and forget about it. It's surprising how bright the leds are. And how far the motion sensor can pick up. Even the terrier sets it off. I'm sure I read somewhere that the vet spray and online spray are different. The wife came back from a walk 1 day with a jill she spotted popping out of a burry. It must of been out in the field for a good while as it had about 50+ ticks on it. A bottle of frontline spray from the vet. Had it tick free in 2 days.
