  1. Totally agree white van man, he's also a lovely people dog, he loves all the neighbours and they all know and like him, which is nice.
  2. I've really enjoyed the stamp of some of the dogs on here, some lovely crosses, this is my mad mongrel Celt he's not strictly a bushing dog in the traditional sense, but he's a good rough shooting companion. This year was meant to be his first wildfowling season, sadly Covid has limited this. He's a Labrador crossed with a New Zealand Huntaway.

  4. Blimey guys, how do you keep those weeds down, you must do a serious amount of weeding!
  5. I've got some crops doing well, potatoes, beetroot, and carrots looking promising. Peppers seem slow, no flowers yet. Cheers Aled
  6. Lost my French Beans due to Frost, i've got a few more growing in pots which i will put out once i know the cold spell is properly over! Everything else looks like it may make it! Cheers. Aled
  7. Planted Potatoes, Beetroot, Shallots, Radishes, Spring Onions, Carrots, Spinach, and Sweetcorn in the veg patch. I've got tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers to go in the plastic growing house, hoping to do that Sunday. Cheers Aled
  8. Dug and manured the veg patch, i've tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, beans, sweetcorn, and lettuce seeds all in pots, Bank Holidays on the way so more to do next week. Cheers. Aled
  9. Not quite as many as you, but i've got a dozen or so seeds in pots on the windowsill, which will be transferred out to the growing house later in the spring.
  10. Darren, the same here in West Wales mate. There used to be a load of ferreters here locally, now i only know 1 whose still hunting. Last summer i saw 3 rabbits in the same field near where i live, i thought "great we are with a chance of seeing them back", since then i've seen 1. Saw more rabbits around the sports fields, and indeed on a roundabout island when i lived in Cardiff than seeing any here, sadly. Cheers Aled
  11. Fully planted, beetroot, parsnips, carrots, shallots, potatoes, and French Beans all in. Tomatoes, Cucumber, and lettuce in the plastic houses outside! Cheers Aled
  12. Seems to be fewer around this year than usuall. Saw only 12 on our yearly rough shoot. We have seen 40 before now on the same ground. The warmer winter perhaps? Cheers Aled

  15. Saw no salmon caught no salmon, however did manage 3 rather stale sea trout up to 4lb, all returned. Tight Lines Aled

  19. I enjoy reading about young un's doing some fishing. My son was telling me today (he's 2 and a half) how i'm taking him fishing next summer. Tight Lines Aled

Depends on mood location really, The Pogues, (Favorite band) The men they couldnt hang, Irish Folk, Stiff Little Fingrs, the clash, Green Day, Blink 182, Show of hands, as well as classical music at times. the levellers, Welsh Language bands, Y Cyrff and yr Anrhefn, Runrig, and a a good quality Welsh Choir blasting out some uplifting hymns!     Buckleys Brains IPA, only ever seen it in Cardiff but it kept me alive when i lived in Cardiff. Tight Lines Aled
  24. Been to the Isle of Lewis, great fishing, good rabbiting, and winter woodcock and wildfowl. Cheers Aled
  25. Nothing quite as impressive for mine. Went salmon fishing in Cornwall for four days in November 2005. Got snowed in on the 2nd and 3rd day and walked to the pub, playing drunken rugby in the snow on the way back to our digs! Ended with a big piss up around Bodmin, on the Saturday watching Wales beat Australia, eating a nice meal, drinking chamagne and not remembering a bloody thing after that. We caught some salmon as well although i didnt! Now this will not be everybodies idea of a good stag do, but believe me doing something i love i.e. Fishing with a load of people i like, watching a g
