    My angling club has just rented a new bit of water, so my son and i went down for a recce and a fish last night. We saw 4 rabbits on the way down and 6 on the way back,(all in different areas) that's the most I've seen in one night in my area for over 15 years!!! ...ps we also caught a 4lb brown trout and saw 2 hedgehogs!     My son and i went out last night looking to catch a brown trout for the table, we got one, but slightly bigger than we expected! Flesh is a lovely red colour and will be eaten with home grown veg and a glass of dry white wine.

    Sometimes a leftovers lunch can be surprisingly tasty, left over bolonaise mince, some baked beans n sausages and a small new potato with bread crusts. Heated up, tasted better than some tin soups I've had! Apologies picture is upside down!!

    Jonjon79: A friend of mine is a nurse and she'll often finish the night shift, and will eat something like lasagne and chips at breakfast time plus a glass of wine before heading to bed.

    Kept a record of my fishing and shooting trips for years, with one exception the first half of 1996, it was the year of my finals at University, and that took priority!

    There's a bit of land i went to last night which has a fair few rabbits, most i've seen for a while, landowners wants numbers reduced on his hay field. Cant believe i may be able to bag a few!

    Hi Arry, like The one, i have planted Charlottes. They tasted good as well, need to catch a nice sea trout to eat with the next batch now!

    Danielcain: My experience of the taste of Rainbow Trout seems to depend on where they were caught and where in the reservoir they feed. Back in the days of fishing the ledgered worm it seemed that trout caught on the bottom tasted different more muddy to those caught on fly higher up the water. Take what you want from my comments. Otheres may find things different.

    Planted the plastic growing house, outdoor girl & Black Russian tomatoes, cucumbers and a solitary pepper!

    Planted most of the veg patch up over the weekend, lettuce, potatoes, leeks, parsnips beetroot, carrots, onions sweetcorn, and radishes over the weekend. French Beans to be placed in next week. Plastic growing house will go up this week. Cheers. Aled
