I should have pointed out that the picture was taken before the installation of the necessary guard sticks to reduce the entrance size. Having said that, all the hedgehogs in that part of the world have long since been snaffled up by our old friend Billy Badger....

I think this is New Forest Keepers (wardens) as opposed to Game Keepers. There is a fund for Gamekeepers which is managed by the NGO. -

The problem with the RBCT as Ratattack has said, was the freedom of information act. That and a couple snakes that were selling information to the papers...... The animal rights people knew exactly what areas were being trapped and when. I did some reactive culling in one triplet area where the antis were running wild. They started off by cutting up cages as we put them out, then when we started trapping they took the badgers and released them just outside the trial area. Totally agree with your point of view E.T. There is a nagging thought in the back of my head as to why the governing body has not yet made a defining result as to what is responsible to the spread of TB. They have. Just google 'Thornbury Badgers' and you will see it for yourself. The trouble is; people keep letting scientists get involved. An adder. Lots, and lots of slugs and snails, several rabbits, bumble bees nest and some other oddities. No longer do much pest control, now % moles.

Fresh baccy will roll too tight if you are a novice...... You need a nice even spread, and don't try and roll it too tight. It is a knack I learned aged 8. I'm still trying to forget it.

As Malt says, sometimes you are damned if you do, and damned if you don't. What I find offensive, others may just see as free speech, or expression of an opinion. For minor stuff (like the dreaded txt talk) I tend to drop the offender a PM. Sometimes people make a genuine mistake and as long as it's not going to result in an early morning call from the boys in blue I like to give people the chance to edit their own stuff accordingly. On the other hand, some members are just plain stupid, and can't take a hint.................

If there are posts that you think should be removed, then hit that report button and let the mods and site admin look at it and decide. Sometimes, removing a post is not the answer. In this particular case Paulus decided to put the post back up to flush out the idiots and defend himself against a false allegation. Good on him, I say; he's got the balls to fight his corner (or so Darcy tells me ).
