Just bear in mind the conditions of the general licence....... You can't kill them just because they are a nuisance, or they are shitting on your car; the only acceptable legal reasons are to prevent damage to crops or because they pose a health and safety risk or to protect livestock. Get your reasoning right, and then kill them!

Think before you post peeps. Again - not commenting on the posts, just that I don't think anyone thought she was actually 14 years old when they replied. Why didn't they? I'm quite sure there are kids posting on here pretending to be older than they really are (OK, not in this case perhaps), this is a hunting site, not a dirty old pervert site.

It doesn't matter how old the person is; the kind of posts made in this thread are still bullying and sexual harassment. If the 14 is her size rather than her age then I've got it wrong; but it doesn't alter the fact that there are people posting some pretty disgusting stuff in this thread. If you've posted, just read your post back to yourself, and then sit back and imagine a lawyer reading it out in court.

Fook me, this place takes some believing sometimes. A fourteen year old girl comes on here and asks if anyone wants to join her on her permission, and she gets a whole heap of innuendo and abuse. At times, I'm ashamed of my fellow hunters. Just put your paranoia and sexual innuendo back in it's box lads, and consider how you would feel if this was your daughter or sister posting on here? Like Ratattack, I have some experience of this issue. You have to remember that we have the most strict pre-movement controls and testing regime in the world for cattle. We test and remove diseased cattle, and leave the primary host for the disease in place on farms. Badgers carry the disease, and are also very resilient to it. Did she not die a while back? I,m sure i done some work for her when she moved from that place into a bungalow in withy... Yes, she died a couple of years ago. She moved to a bungalow in Withypool in '95. Apparently, she slept on the floor in front of the fire. Don't know if anyone has heard of Hope Bourne 'The Lady of Exmoor', but just in case, this is picture of the view from her home: Taken today; it's 3 or 5 miles from anywhere, possibly the most remote farm on Exmoor and one hell of a place. I'm lucky enough to have a contract to catch moles on this very farm....

You've got no chance of getting a licence to cull the badgers doing the damage, sorry but none, zero, zilch. As suggested, your best options are larvae control (applied now for next year) and, if necessary, electric fencing. Apart from the licences currently being issued for culling as part of a scientific experiment, the only other licences are for 'gating' out of an existing sett (I've had a few), and I'm afraid that limited damage to a golf course at limited times of the year just won't cut it. I think molecatchers were using the old board top, snare type traps powered by withies for several hundred years. I think the old 'drop pot' type traps date back even further.

Go back and read what has been written. Why would Ian, or anyone else want to read your poxy PM's??? If you've written anything on a computer, via PM or anything else, that could be used against you, then you are a FOOL. The amount of fuss you are making about it suggests you have something to hide. Good luck when they take your computer away. I suggest the best thing you could do is switch the computer off, and vow never to use it again. Same goes for your phone.
