Paulus Is A Spy For The Police And The Antis
Matt replied to hedgemumper's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
What a load of bollocks. We've been here before people. Mods have even posted screenshots of our function screens. I'll repeat it one last time for the hard of thinking: Mod's cannot read personal messages of members of this forum. If you've posted stuff you shouldn't have, or sent it via PM then there is always the possibility that the authorities can read it on your computer registry. No mod on here is an informer, or an anti. Get over it and stop spouting such cretinous, libelous rubbish. -
Good luck. It's the VoSA guys and the ones trained in traffic you've got to watch out for! I've got to speak the local DVLA inspector tomorrow to find out more, but it seems you can be insured but still not legal, even for crossing roads and staying within the 1.5km. The tax disk is free, but there is a £55 fee for the registration. I'll post more when I've spoken to them.
-
Why do you want feral pigeons?
-
I've got V5/5 application forms on their way to me now; but I'm not sure if it's going to be worth the agro to be honest...... It seems you're in the hands of your local inspector as to whether he or she decides to 'inspect' your vehicle. You also have to supply a map of the land clearly showing where you cross the highway? When I asked what happens if you are contractor, the girl went a bit quiet and said she wasn't sure........... It all seems like a minefield to me.
-
More information on this. I've just got off the phone to both DfT and DVLA. Both inform me that you still need a number plate and tax disk, and you can only get that if you road register the bike by completing a V5/5 application to your local DVLA office. Without the number plate and tax disk, you are not legal even with insurance. Oh, and you have to have the insurance before you apply for the V5/5.
-
Apparently it's correct. I've just got off the phone to NFU, and providing you are only going less than 1.5km and it's agricultural use, you can be insured and legal without a number plate.
-
Thanks for the information. I'll ring 'em now.
-
Interesting Socks.... How can you insure a bike for road use if it isn't road registered? Mine isn't road registered either, and I'd like to insure it if I can.
-
I wasn't the only one to make that mistake either 'Hot Meat'......... I did, however, point out that I had done so . Without resurrecting the now doomed 'friend' thread; let's just settle it once and for all: the OP did say that she was 14, but meant that she was a size 14. It doesn't really matter though, because she could be any age! The topic was reported to me by more than one member via PM, so yes, I did wade in and put forward some alternative viewpoints As I posted earlier; the antis that are going to do the real harm aren't going to register here and pose as something
-
On the wider issue I agree. There is no need for the paranioa we are seeing at the moment; the antis aren't stupid, those that want to do us real harm aren't going to post, or even register on the site; they'll just sit and quietly read what they want and take action at their leisure. The easy way to beat them is not to post illegal subjects, or even things that can be taken out of context and used against us. In terms of the specific thread you are refering to; I had PM communication with the OP and locked the thread while that took place. The thread was then removed as it was unfou

I think this thread has now run it's course. Now locked.

See what you've done??? You turn up a day late and minutes later Matt's gonna lock it....WELL DONE... I think it's safer than waiting for him to delve into his sporran...........
-
I think this topic has nearly run it's length. Where did I put my keys.........
-
I suppose it was only a matter of time......... Paulus is more likely to be an uncle........
-
No; all this because we have a few sex starved keyboard warriors that think that they can do as they please and say whatever they want. As I posted earlier; DLTBGYD.
-
I agree. There are two big problems with the internet. The first problem is that certain individuals think that they are anonymous from behind their keyboards and can post what they like online with little or no comeback. The second problem is that some members think that posting on here is the same as chatting in a pub or whatever. What you don't get with the written word is the body language that goes with a conversation, nor is their the privacy that you get when you whisper to your mate stood at the bar. That leads to misunderstandings, and people putting two and two together
-
How is it a fine line? Quite easily. Just look at the recent arrests resulting from Tweets made about Tom Daley the diver...... I'm not suggesting that it's right; but the law is quite straightforward; you are not anonymous on the internet, and if you post stuff that could be seen as harassment you may get a knock at the door......... Why haven't I (or anyone else) deleted this topic? Why should we? You are responsible for what you post, and you alone. Personally, I think that topics like this show people up for what they are. Being a moderator isn't just about hitti

How is the OP harassing you? No, I don't think it's weird for people to ask for some company, and I don't see every request for company as some sort of sexual 'come on'. Do you come on here to hunt? How do you know I haven't PM'd the OP There is no excuse for some of the rubbish posted on this thread.

Yet more unsubstantiated nonsense. Keep it sane fellas, please.......... Thread locked for now. -
There speaks a man who's never done any long netting.... Don't condemn another mans sport just because you don't do it yourself. Not everyone has access to a running dog, and not everyone would want to break the law by running hares.
-
Don't let the b*****ds grind you down
-
Your age and your dress size shouldn't matter on here. What is important is a passion for hunting, and in the case of this part of the site, running dogs. Ignore the idiots with brains which are only marginally larger than their penis size, and enjoy sharing information and learning. There are some very knowledgeable people on this site, and you will gain much from it if you give it a chance.
-
DLTBGYD I'm sure you will get some help and advice and maybe find someone to join you on your jaunts. Just keep at it. Use photobucket to upload pictures. Upload your pictures to photobucket and just copy and paste the IMG link on here

I can just imagine the conversation: "I know the dog is underweight, I'm trying to sort it out" "What professional advice have you sought?" "Well I did ask on the Hunting Life forum............" Denying a sick animal veterinary attention is an offence. Having a sick dog isn't. I don't think the OP has any intention of not getting help; perhaps this was just a 'stab in the dark'.... Either way, it's going to be better to see a vet ASAP which is what I think the OP is intending to do.
-
OK, so if the RSPCA turn up, you can soon enough feck them off. What happens when they come back with a copper and a warrant? As others have said, it looks like there is something going on. Get her to the vet today, and if nothing else, you can tell the RSPCA that you are aware of a problem and working with a vet to sort it out. Good luck with it.
