Bear Grylls mentioned it on the radio last week , some words from a marine barracks something along the lines of 'become comfortable with unfamiliarity/ uncertainty. Anyway it is something I seemingly do okay, I get bored of things staying the same sometimes it pushes me onto something better sometimes worse, but it removes fear of change for sure, it works better for work, having moved about forever and done a myriad of different jobs it definitely becomes less daunting , anyway I related to it...

Put these on at 9am this morning, probably have some for a late supper and a bigger version tomorrow for lunch...

Yep it was only to have a commercial vehicle to claim some tax against ,vans and pickups you don't get much for your buck for that reason and medium vans are too small for me, my Volvo is hanging on done 225k I think, I'd rather an estate car ,much better value but only claim for 30% of cost , it's likely work will sort me a vehicle at some point so I'll most likely stick to an affordable estate.
-
Yeah my Volvo was around a grand I've mates pleading poverty whilst the missus drives a 50k VW or whatever, I know where I'm heading just nice if I'm not the only soul living to their means, and finding greater value in holidays and experience ??

Okay so about to dive into a late in life mortgage, fancied a pickup, fancied new this and that , come to realise every item will cost me another hour day year in work , now I'm thinking I'll make it through ànd use a cheap runabout. Do any of you guys work out hours against stuff ... IE if I own this I spend less in work etc. It's how I'm gonna move forward without doubt.

Well done mate, life's about experiences, at the end that's all we have ? enjoy the change.

More cracking fish, feck off will ya, lol. As a youngster it was brandlings out the muck heap fishing the Thames with a waggler. Later on a few decent ones on waggler in ponds with prawn. ?

It's such a difficult situation, but I've lost count of cockups , I've a half dozen stories of mistakes/malpractice within our own life experience of the NHS , so at some point you have to say this isn't working as it should....
-
That's the other factor, a minority of parents were vile and should've been shot at the door, some were stoic and amazing others were meek and probably didn't fight their child's corner enough or trusted completely the NHS system, I initially trusted completely and that soon turned to hyper vigilance and questioning and bollocking people, I got threatened with having child's care taken away from me twice , but it was diffused by higher ups, it's a stressful situation ??

Agree with a lot of posts, it's difficult in so much as they save us or loved ones, I've spent months in hospital with my son in the last four years, certain things stand out in brief... Long shifts for staff, lack of funding, lack of training , low morale, some amazing people, some god awful people that shouldn't be in care. A system based on financial and patient turnover, swamped by care home patients , missing basic standards, as an example a laser was missing off an important piece of equipment and the girls had no clue on finding the correct height with a torch ? so when I questioned con

I'm starting to think the Tory's have had their fill, they'll let a labour gov in to take the flack for a decade , run us into the ground a little more, maybe get us back in EU on our knees and then Tories come back with austerity to save us.... Bit depressing but it's hard to see a way out....

Yep I feel you, eldest been bouncing about on balance bike forever was a duck to water on push bike got youngest recently peddling and now wifey has fecked it , I'm torn between a bad camo paint job or going out and spunking loads on a new bike but probably the former my initial decision was a proper paint job but without cutting chain and having pedal arms professionally removed I'll probably rough the pink paint up and spend £30 on aerosols for camo, pissed off I didn't get asked tbh , sake I'm to bed .

Most will find deer before pigs or choose to. ?

I recently got my youngest on a push bike, all was well he loves it tonight missus has sold his slightly too small expensive bike and bought a larger version in fecking pink , so now I've been breaking down the most complex kids bike or any bike I've ever seen in preparation for a respray, left with a chain going through frame and pedal arms pressed onto a shaft that I can't remove even with bearing pullers , I've no idea what goes through women's heads .....just letting off some steam.... apparently I'm making a big deal of it she was gonna buy some can of paint spray...

There was a big escape in Wales but don't think they lasted long, we don't have the land here if forest of Dean was in the valleys they wouldn't have a high density boar problem....?
