Good riddance to any anti British political movement in my view. She showed her true colours and lack of ability in reading the people, throwing rapist's in female prisons, the world has gone mad. Trying to get the courts involved in her politics back fired, salmon setting up the other party weakened snp, and placating all the ultra leftist kids has probably been her biggest mistake outside of failing with NHS , employment etc

Regards the original op I have seen a massive boom/investment in UK industry. I've not seen the amount of apprenticeship schemes etc in my life time. Whether energy renewable, nuclear, defense , electric cars, Rolls-Royce, JCB etc etc. After decades of racing to the bottom and lack of training and investment we seem to be accepting the fact that you need home grown skills . The lack of foresight and planning pre/post Brexit has been pitiful. COVID obviously hampered progress, along with the usual political ineptitude and corruption, now Ukraine/Russia affecting already very limited supply chai

Outside of conspiracy, I think a greater problem is polarisation of western society. Far right, far left. Quite a dated podcast but worth a look

From what I gather large supermarkets buy a year in advance, so although it's proof that the UK has a vulnerability in it's food chain, I don't think it's relative to the Brexit debate, unless you wish to be continually reliant on EU produce. It has more to do with far left media/politics polarisation than a UK national crisis. Tomatoes and cucumbers, not only are they out of season, tomato farms especially during fuel/inflation cannot compete with warm climates for growing these two vegetables. I'm going for guerkins and tomato puree or jars/cans of tomatoes which are both readily available a

Well having a little go , been on keto for four weeks, lost just over a stone, I've been fasting for the last 40 hrs, probably break it tonight with some healthy keto grub. I've been watching a fair few podcasts and read a few articles , it's all interesting stuff, and the keto suits me.

Good stuff, should be more of it, especially from large corps . Unfortunately government seems to bail them out , whether grants or tax relief anything with taxpayer written on it has the arse teared out of it as a given.

Yep I've been knee deep more than my share.... It's amazing scenery mate, just think we've had an exceptional couple of years and the south west got clobbered but I think it'll subside a little so changing laws at this time is purely opportunistic.

I think he did well for England, I'm looking forward to a fresh start or a different take on a decent team. Roll on six nations....

I get what you're saying , guardian of the land etc, but I don't buy it anymore, national parks should be for the people. I dare say where estates employed and housed hundreds of people , and your average garden was big enough to kick a ball about in , it may have been the case , but no more. Most of this county is owned by farmers, what little bits of woodland you can walk your dog in they've decided to stick cattle in them too for 'enviromental reasons' . I would compulsory purchase swathes of land , provide walkways and cycle paths, bridle paths get kids and folk off the lanes and roads. I'

I agree with that but feel the arse will drop out of the boom staycation a little, which was most likely the reason it got out of hand. I was more thinking about 10 tors and the people that experience a bit of wilderness in small tents, I agree the giant setups should find camp sites if they're after home comforts.

Saw this article , seems a hedge fund manager has managed to stop wild camping on his part of Dartmoor. BBC: Historic wild camping tradition outlawed on part of Dartmoor.
