    And as soon as their benefits don’t go into the bank or you can’t access your bank account or you go to A&E or your doctors or dentists and they won’t see you or you can’t renew your bus pass/driving license/passport what do you do then ? Labour have made it plain , this ID will be MANDATORY ! Nothing short of a general strike will stop them, but sadly I’m just watching a LibDem woman on tv saying what a wonderful thing digital ID will be !!!! Cheers.

    It gets complicated with Ireland being in the EU but also in the CTA. At a guess a citizen of Ireland will have to have some type of digital ID whether issued by Ireland or the UK. Who knows ? Cheers.

    I had a Saudi iqama, resident permit, that’s fine with me, a foreigner in their country. I was born in England and got by for 73 years without carrying “papers” , why should I need them now ? Cheers.

    I’ve got a birth certificate, a driving license, a passport, a bus pass, a NI number, a NHS number, what more do I need to identify myself ? If they insist on this digital ID, why not just give it to immigrants ? I don’t need it. Cheers.

    They are trying to link it to stopping the boats, but I can’t make the connection ? If digital ID was simply amalgamation of passport, driving license, bus pass, NI number, NHS number, I could probably accept it. But what’s being proposed is you need it to open a bank account, access the National Health, buy, sell or rent a house, access benefits and any other government services. This looks more like controlling the people of the UK, not controlling illegal immigration. Cheers.

    There’s an old saying Dan; “ when America sneezes, the world catches a cold”.. Sadly we are not a world power anymore, successive governments have been carrying out what is known as “ managed decline”, without telling us. Trump has proved how powerful the USA is by the way they are the only country in the world that can hold countries to ransom by using tariffs! He could ruin our steel and motor industries or make them profitable by simply increasing or reducing tariffs. Thats the sad state successive British governments have allowed the Uk to drift into since the ‘50’s.

    I agree mate, the security of Brize Norton was an absolute disgrace, but isn’t the point. If an army truck is parked in Tescos car park and is attacked, is it criminal damage ? Or is it terrorism. OK , that’s a hypocritical question, so what if a British soldier is walking the streets of England and is decapitated by two Islamists, is it simply murder ?     Not like you to deflect or be obtuse mate So, does attacking a UK Military Asset move from “criminal damage, to an “act of terrorism” ? For me it does. it doesn’t matter if you disagree, I can handle that but it worries me that you APPEAR to be condoning the acts of these people and their supporters . Im sure you’d be appalled if people were marching in London with placards saying “I support Lee Rigby’s killers” or “I support the Manchester Arena bombers” ! To me, they would be supporting terrorism, just as the people who are supporting Palestine Action are. Cheers.

    I don’t understand the anology, mate. Were, in your mind, those that decapitated a young British soldier committing an act of terrorism or simply murder ? Were those that blew up the Manchester Arena committing terrorism or simply murder ? When , in your mind is the line crossed from breaking the law into terrorism ? Palestine Action, in my mind, crossed the line when they moved from protest to attacking British Military Infrastructure. Cheers.

    Those engines will have to be removed , stripped and rebuilt. All bearings , injection parts, wiring and electronics replaced. They will then be sent to a test cell for testing, then remounted and ground tested, finally tested in flying conditions. Replacing a main rotor shaft on a big jet engine can cost half a million pound. Believe me, it’s something I have more than a little knowledge of The ironic thing is those Voyager aircraft are the very aircraft that were and are used to drop food aid into Gaza…… Even so , it doesn’t matter if they did £10 or £10,000,000, of damage
