Yes mate , I’m fine . Had a craic with Jimmy with the little black dogs and his mate the stick maker with the Beddy’s from the Flimby Club. I had a deer/grey qualify for the Cock ‘o the North but the judge seemed keen on the little rabbiting types. Hows little Jacko doing, but I guess he isn’t so little now, is he into the dogs ? Cheers.

Ahh….the nostalgia ! All the local pubs had domino handicaps on a Saturday and Sunday morning, very well attended and good prize money. Also had darts and pool handicaps and the whippet lads would all be in there after the racing , arguing who had the best dog and throwing out challenges ! Now it's families with kids out for dinner on a Sunday and everyone watching football on a Saturday, pubs aren’t what they were, well at least for old Luddite’s like me ! Cheers.

While I agree that the Slavs and other East European peoples are not the same ethnically, (if that’s the right word ), as Western Europeans, I worked for 20 years with a Czech and one of my best pals for over 40 years is a Pole, I found I had far more in common with them than the African and Asian friends and colleagues that I have. I count them all as friends, by the way. Just my own personal opinion. Cheers.

An excellent game ! I can just about play, albeit very badly! I think it was originally designed as a war strategy game. The words “check mate” are derived from the Persian “ Shah Mort” , literally “ the king is dead” I think it should be taught in school. Cheers.

There’s a lad I know who has had a succession of top class non-ped scratch dogs, all named after comic characters; Lord Snooty, Colonel Clott, Dennis the Menace, Gnasher, etc. He must have liked his comics ! LOL ! Cheers.

PR seems to me, on the face of it, fairer than first past the post…BUT… it almost ALWAYS leads to hung parliaments and coalition’s. Look at Spain as an example or France, there’s just been a vote of no confidence in their Prime Minister who will resign tomorrow. Will Macron just appoint another PM ? Probably, he won’t have another election as the coalition he heads is very unpopular and another election will just lead to another coalition. I don’t know the answer for us in the UK , but we can’t go on as it is , maybe Reform will be the answer, maybe not, but I’m willing to give th

I respect everyone’s opinions without necessarily agreeing with them, that’s what forums are for, discussions and debates. I hear those that doubt Farage and Reform but I don’t hear any alternatives being proposed ? l’ll address only one subject, the one that seems uppermost in most people’s minds; illegal immigration. Farage has laid out his plans quite clearly , for me, leave the ECHR, scrap the parts of that treaty that Blair had enshrined into UK law, immediate detention and deportation for any one entering illegally, and never being allowed to get UK citizenship. Of course Reform need an overall majority to do anything, but the fact is Farage has said he WILL leave the ECHR and will make it a manifesto commitment. Labour have refused point blank to leave and the Tories have only said they will look to “reform” certain sections of the ECHR treaty…..well, we saw how that worked trying to reform the E U ! What do we do ? Carry on with the legacy parties who are destroying the country , or give Reform a chance ? I know what my choice will be . If it works, great ! If it doesn’t, well at least we tried. Probably the same as official greyhound coursing. Points for the run up, for the turn , for the wrench and for the kill. If I remember correctly it was only 1 1/2 points for the kill but 3 points for the run up and two points for the rest. It was matching dog against dog , not dog against hare. Cheers.
