Heres a pic of your dog, (I don't think you are going to get that job as a Proffesional Photographer !! LOL !!). He's the same stamp as his sister, and the same height and weight, 29" & around 75- lb. He's looking well; good luck with him this season, at two year old they should be ready for anything !! Cheers.

Well........ I feed my dogs on BARF, (mainly lamb ribs and necks) and the gear that the local Game Dealer gives me, which is almost any meat or game, except pork, and I use Wagg Complete as a filler , just as other people would use a "buscuit" type dry food. My dogs look well on it; and more importantly, they WORK well on the diet they are on !! Cheers.

Non-Ped Whippets can take hares regularly; but that's probably due to the high percentage of Greyhound blood in them. The old Racing Whippets back in the 60's & 70's could take hare, fox and deer, but thats probably because they were smooth coated Lurchers "of Whippet like appearance"; which was the only criterea that most clubs asked for ! Pure bred, KC Whippets today may take the odd hare, but not with any consistency. Even at Whippet Coursing Club meetings, very few hares were cought , and a lot of the "courses" could more properly be described as "chases" ! Don't get me wrong, I love W

Well; you're obviously after an agument..... but the lads that have REAL fenn dogs and match them for big money, probably don't even look on here !! They do their own thing, and breed the best coursing dogs in the world, (imho). Of course, the "Fen Dog" isn't what you want for an all round Lurcher... but it was never meant to be, so why knock what is a purpose bred animal for a specific job ??? Cheers.

I've got a half x bitch that is 29" and a Lurcher x Lurcher bitch that has Deer, Beddy and Grey in her and she is 23". Both do what they are supposed to do. Can't beat a bit of well bred Deerhound in a Lurcher line. Cheers.

A pathetic question; in my opinion ! A dog could be great in it'a last time out, but wake up the next morning and be lame ! It could take six month to get the dog right, and the best dogs would be worth the work to get them right !! A dog is only as good as the work it gets ! The best dog in the world is useless if it is left to fester in it's kennel. A half decent dog will go well if it is given the chance !! It's all down to the owner if he gives the dog the chance to work ! Cheers.

When you have four breeds in a pup as diverse as yours has, you could be talking 18" to 30", so it's imposible to say what size it will make. Cheers.

I'm sorry, but I think it looks like any other street cur, how do all you guys come out with "nice dog mate", "smart dog mate", etc ? I hope it works out for the owner, but I doubt it will be any good as a Lurcher. As I say, good luck with it, and I hope I'm proven wrong. Cheers.

Dogs are a pack animal, and there will allways be an Alpha male or female. But !! YOU should be the boss !! That won't stop them having a "pecking order", but they should know who the boss is. My Deer X bitch has developed into the dominant bitch in my kennel, but she still knows I'm the boss ! Cheers.
