I'm not backing the police over this, their response was WAY over the top. One policeman explaining the situation to the women would have sufficed. My ONLY point is going for a drive isn't going for a walk ! Cheers.

Of course it matters ! What if they were involved in an accident, and needed an ambulance, medical treatment, hospitalising ? Im far from happy with this, but what's the point in risking falling foul of the law ? I could drive a few miles to give the dogs a run on a hare, but I wouldn't be moaning if I got pulled, yes, it's stupid, but I'd be even dafter to flout it ! Cheers.

I know it's a very gray area, but I would personally assume that going for a walk means just that ! Not driving somewhere. It not as if they were trying to escape some inner city shithole or sink estate......they were from Ashby-de-la-Zouche ! Cheers.

To be honest, I haven't lot of sympathy for the two women. Why drive seven miles to go for a walk ? Yeah, the police seem to have been a bit heavy handed, but the rules are either enforced or it's a free for all. Cheers.

I don't really want to single out footballers, as I'm sure we have all flouted the rules in some way, even inadvertently; but these Premier footballers are really taking the piss. It looks like they are saying " we're rich and famous, so the rules don't count" ! Id tell the clubs that if their players blatantly flout the rules, they will be banned for the rest of the season. no exceptions.. Same when they park on yellow lines or in invalid spaces. Yeah, I agree with having the TEST before a procedure, but I'm very uneasy about having the VACCINE before a procedure ! Im on the fence about the vaccine, but I hope it's proven effective, then I'll have it ! Cheers.

Are you sure It was the vaccine she had to have, and not just the Covid test ? My missus had a routine procedure done a couple of weeks ago and had to have the test done two days before and test negative before they would carry out the procedure. Cheers.

It was supposed to be one jab now, then a second jab three weeks later, but they are talking about leaving the second jab for three months. some people, like Blair, are saying forget the second jab, which will allow more people to have the first jab quicker. Cheers.

Dan Edwards. I was on a private site with him and he posted some excellent videos of coyote hunts. I'ts been a regret of mine that I never made it to Illinois to see his dogs run, circumstances got in the way. Mind you, I didn't appreciate that he called my dogs " f****n pencil necks" ! ? ! Cheers.

Before my self imposed exile , over seven years ago, I probably only went on the lurcher section. Now, the general section is the one I go on. For a hunting site, there's not a lot of hunting being posted, sign of the times I suppose, if we can only post about rabbits and rats. Its pointless me posting on the lurcher section, as the quarry I'm most interested in would result in a sudden enforced exile if I posted pics ! Cheers.

The HoL has been emasculated by the various Parliament Acts since the early 1900's. Its now simply a debating chamber, it can only scrutinise, delay and advise amendments to a bill. It can only hold up a bill for up to 12 months, and there's even a Parliament Act that can be used to by-pass the HoL completely. So, apart from it being a retirement home for failed politicians, a reward for party doners and friends , and a place where 850 of them can collect £300 a day simply for signing in, not even having to attend or participate in any debates, I can't see what the point of it i

We have an adversarial party system in the Commons, so I see no need for an "Upper Chamber", especially an unelected one that owes their allegiance to whoever sent them their. An elected "Upper Chamber" is a non-starter for me, as if it is elected, it could legitimately challenge the decisions of the "Lower Chamber". We democratically vote in a General Election for a government and an opposition to hold the government to account. People like Mandelson, Chakrabatti, Adonis, are the embodiment of why the House of Lords should be scrapped. Cheers.

Mate, I've got to say, I'm a great Trump supporter, I stayed up all night four years ago, and celebrated when Trump won. I stayed up all night a few months ago and was saddened when Trump lost ! But How on earth do you arrive at a statement " and in the dead of the night, the election is quietly confirmed" ? There were thousands of protesters, Senators and Congressmen evacuated in gas masks, people shot dead, offices looted. The process was stopped and then restarted as soon as possible, with Nationl Guard protecting the place. Its headline news around the world.
