    I like a Bovril when I come in from the cold. I thought you meant my rather bland choice of instant coffee and coffee mate ! To be fair, I've drank a lot of exotic coffees around the world, Arabic, Turkish, Brazilian and even that civet cat shit ! Turkish has to be the worst.....looks like, tastes like, and has the consistency of, mud ! Cheers.

    I do like an Arabic ghawa, cardamom coffee, now and again. Nescafe' actually do an instant now, saves the time and bother of roasting and crushing in a pestle and mortar, but sadly it's only available in the Middle East . Cheers.

    I don't know, mate. I had the origional two vaccines and one booster. I had a very serious bout of Covid, then had another which was like a mild cold, and I wouldn't have known it was Covid if I hadn't had a positive test. Been fine for many months, I'm a reasonably fit, healthy and active 70 year old, so have the vaccines protected me or have I built up a degree of immunity, or is it a combination of the two ? I certainly do not regret having the vaccine, and suffered no after effects, that doesn't mean others haven't. Cheers.

    I'm not sure, and to be honest, and I don't care if people have the vax or not, it's a personal choice, but I'm guessing 'flu and Covid keep mutating, therefore needing updated vaccines, where the other diseases you mention don't. Im not adding to the argument, just giving a view, I'm certainly not qualified to give definitive answers or opinions ? Cheers.

    Basically, the public support they expected never materialised, and instead, turned massively against them. The probably didn't expect to be arrested, but they were and some found guilty, but even though the punishments were derisory, they realised having a criminal record doesn't look good for middle class pensioners, or for university students who might have to get a job someday.     OK, I'm not saying Nicepix is a bent copper, a snide, an informer or a danger to anyone on here, and I'm sort of OK with him being a member, but I'm very uneasy with him being a moderator, and having whatever authority or power that goes with it. Let me give one instance why I'm uneasy with policemen, ex or serving in relationship to dogs and hunting.     Sensible suggestions ? My take on this, and it's only MY opinion, is , like "origami for beginners", two fold. 1; one moderator is biased, treating members differently and unfairly, and instigating or furthering arguments. Handing out warnings and suspensions to some people, while worse culprits get away with it. 2; another moderator is an ex policeman, which doesn't sit well with a lot of members, including myself, rightly or wrongly. Yes, we can simply log off and not post again, but that would only exacerbate the situation, making the site worse. The solution ? How

    So are all the pop up ads hosted free of charge ? I have a small, private site, and it costs me nothing as long as its ads free, if I pay a small subscription and allow ads, it generates income. Maybe the terms of this site have changed, who knows, apart from Ian, but as I said , it matters not in the general context of the way the site seems to be heading. Cheers.

    I was lead to understand it is also "pay per click" , the revenue increases or decreases with the number of views. which is why, like a lot of sites, it is loathe to delete members with a high posting/viewing count, or members that generate long threads. Im sure this was discussed years ago, no matter, if I'm wrong, it doesn't change my views on moderation, and if the site gets to a point when I no longer feel it's worth logging on, then I simply won't, I doubt I make much difference to the site either way ?     Every post, reply or comment you have made on this thread confirms your unsuitability to be a moderator. What living in a council house has to do with anything is beyond me. You don't offend me, I've been in situations far more serious than internet discussions, Its Ian's site, he made you a moderator, my opinion is immaterial, but I'd guess once it starts hitting his bottom line, he will have to make some decisions.     I resent the "slagging off " accusation. I've been polite, it is you who have used profanity in your replies to me. Ive just said I like to join in the banter, so that recuses me from being a moderator. You have your view of how a moderator should behave......I have mine. Pointless going round in circles, if it gets to a point I no longer want to be on here, I'd simply stop posting, simple as that ? Cheers.
