  1. A few more Irish Wheaton lurchers my pal has owned over the years ; Im not saying they are better or worse than any other types, just posting a few pics on a lurcher forum. Cheers.
  2. You’re starting to sound like “you know who” ! LOL ! Just a few pics of dogs I know, not claiming anything about them Cheers.
  3. Dan invited me a few years ago, who knows, I might just surprise him and turn up ! Cheers.
  4. A few Wheaton x dogs I know here and in Ireland; A Wheaton/deer/grey pup I was offered; Two of it’s litter mates at about a year old; Two Wheaton Lurchers; Cheers.
  5. Or Freddy ! LOL ! Cheers.
  6. Wheaton/grey x Wheaton/grey; Cheers.
  7. Not sure which scout it was, and yeah I think Don had one maybe from the same litter. This one was MLB’s, I only had it at mine for a few days and nights. Cheers.
  8. Coursing bull; Sire; Scout Dam; half cross bull / greyhound. I may be wrong and it may be the second cross, I’m sure someone will correct me ! LOL ! Cheers.
  9. Saluki/bull/greyhound ; Decent all rounder day and night but died of a heart attack/stroke after a grueller on a hare. Cheers.
  10. No mate, I’ve killed pariah desert dogs with Salukis, but the desert dog is a worthless cur, only brave in a pack. Dan Edwards who was on here and lives in Illinois is the man for coyote dogs. Cheers.
  11. I’ll be over in December , Francie, one of the days out will be with Gunter, I’ll let you know nearer the time, maybe meet up ? Cheers.
  12. I thought it might have been one of those brother-sister mating they did. I thought Wilf got one. Cheers.
  13. Was that out of or related to Micks dog ? Cheers.
  14. Been to both and was asked to judge Flimby and did. I was at the Roman Wall show a few weeks ago and met up with a few of lads from the Flimby Club. There was three lads you probably know who had a pick up full of hairy foxing dogs from Whitehaven, rough looking bunch…..the dogs AND the lads ! LOL ! Cheers.
  15. Interesting views on teeth . Ive never had a whippet with bad teeth, possibly due to their diet and cleaning routine. My two last lurchers before this one were 12 and 15 and had perfect teeth, plenty bones , deer antler, etc and would let me scrape off any tarter build up. At a recent show, the judge commented how good my bitches teeth were; I said they are exactly as I would expect a four year old dogs teeth to be and he must have seen some bad teeth to make that comment, he said he’s seen lurchers with terrible teeth. I imported a Manchester Terrier from Australia and its
  16. The Aussies like their dog motors ; Cheers.
  17. Haven’t a clue what you’re on about; I’m not a roofer and I’m not after a pup . Cheers.
  18. Many years ago, when they were building the “Shelter Deck” shipyard on the Wear at Sunderland, my dad was a “Sheeter/roofer, but more importantly the union rep. He got my younger brother a job there as “ an improver welder”, whatever the hell that was ! Anyhow , all his job entailed was keeping the welders supplied with welding rods, food and drink, he never tacked a weld the entire time he was there but made a small fortune. All the welders were, strangely, American Red Indian contractors! Cheers.
  19. The other thread got me thinking about lamping motors, what I’ve had, what I’d like, and what I’d like but would be totally ridiculous ! A Range Rover I had in Saudi; Great out there but not much good here at around 11 mpg ! A pick up I seen in the Middle East; Bit of a giveaway if you’re poaching ! My dream pick up, fastest pick up around Nurburgring, but maybe lacking a bit of ground clearance for dog work ? The yanks use these for coyote hunting, but maybe a bit overkill for here in the UK ? This one certainly looks the part though
  20. Asalay Alaykum, ya habibi.
  21. You’ll sit atop Mount Olympus….or some wind swept, freezing cold hill top in the Scottish wilderness with the Beddy Master and contemplate each others navels….. Namasay.
  22. My niece came over from New Zealand and bought a Lab from Lochside Kennels in Scotland. I had it in my kennel until she sorted out the paper work to take it home. I had it out one day with a mates 3/8-5/8 bull cross and the bull cross got a bit naughty and the Lab sorted it out ! I was seriously impressed. When I used to hunt with Mally, he had a Lab that came out with us, it could clear deer fences with ease, it’s the only non-running dog that’s got it’s picture on my man cave wall ! LOL ! Cheers.
  23. I’d rather have a 3/4 grown rabbit for the pot, where the jacket slides off like a suede glove, than an old buck where it’s three falls or a submission to disrobe it ! LOL ! Cheers.
  24. My local PDSA have some things you can pay for , such as worming and fleaing . I paid around £28 to have two dogs vet checked and wormed and flead. They weigh the dogs and give you the correct dosage and you administer it yourself. You don’t have to qualify for free treatment. I just remember seeing a poster on the wall about neutering while I was waiting. Cheers.
  25. Local council dog warden would micro chip and neuter our dogs for free, but, like everything else, council cuts put an end to that. Don’t the PDSA have a scheme ? Don’t know how much it costs. Cheers.
