    Why would it need to be an increase in income tax specifically? Why not a moratorium on overseas aid ? Why not cut all benefits to illegal immigrants ? Why not a tax increase on the likes of Amazon ? Why pay an estimated £35 billion to give away the Chagos Islands ? Or how about cancelling net zero and the huge subsidies and drill for our own oil and frack for our own gas ? There are many ways of increasing military spending. Cheers.

    Evidently we ordered 12 Type 45 destroyers but only 6 were built, only 2 are seaworthy and Starmer sent one of them to the High North to defend Greenland from Trump Cheers.

    I know the feeling My missus insists on reminding me that I’m 73, not 23 ! Usually when I tell her I’m going lamping with my p***y pal, or when I’m going coursing with my pal who is literally a third of my age, or when I say I’m going for a drink with my nephew and his ultra pals before a match ! She never mentions it when she tells me to get in the loft to fix a dripping ball valve, or go up two storeys on a ladder to clean the gutters. And she doesn’t see the joke when I say we’ve been married almost 50 years and even the train robbers and murderers didn’t get that long

    Burj Al Arab in Dubai hit by missile and on fire . I had dinner in there some years ago with my daughter, the only seven star hotel in the world. Cheers.

    Don’t blame Pickford, blame Newcastle! Im a supporter, and don’t know what’s going wrong , but it’s obvious that Wissa and Waldermat are very VERY poor and very VERY expensive replacements for Isak and Wilson, and Elanga isn’t as good as Murphy! A disastrous transfer window. We are missing Bruno and Livremento, but that’s no excuse. Forget European football next season unless a miracle happens and we win the FA Cup or the Champions League ! Cheers.

    That’s crap money ! I was getting that almost 50 years ago as a specialist / instructor working for the Royal Saudi Airforce at their Air Defence Centre, and I had absolutely no worries about Boris blowing my head off Cheers.

    Yes mate. It’s in as new nick. All I’ve done is clean and oil it and fit a new breach seal. My p***y mate zeroed the ‘scope in and I’m getting head shots on rats at about 30’. It’s a bit of sport and keeps the rats down. Cheers.

    I worry about them, Iran has just hit Riyadh, but my family are in Jeddah, but they live within sight of one of the biggest air bases in the Middle East. I lived out there for 26 years and was there for both Gulf Wars and worked on that base, but to be honest never really felt in danger, but who knows, if it escalates? Cheers,

    Who’s surprised ? The US has been building up assets in the area for months . Once the two carrier groups were in place it was obvious it would start. My daughter in law and grandson were due to come here for the school holidays but have just cancelled as civilian air space is being closed all across the Middle East. Cheers.

    Reform were the only “right of centre “ party on the ballot. I don’t class the Tories as right of centre , but they only got 1 1/2% of the vote. I’m assuming Tory voters moved en masse to Reform, Advance got less votes than the Raving Loony Party, so I’m guessing any right wing voter who was thinking of voting for Habibs party had second thoughts and voted Reform. Reform doubled their vote from 18 months ago. So, far from splitting the right vote, they actually United it. I understand you hate Farage and Reform, but what was the alternative ?
