    I’ll end up with dementia trying to get it into your head that being offered a duty solicitor at a police station IS NOT the same as applying for Legal Aid to pay for your defence at a court appearance. Cheers.

    What has any of this got to do with the original discussion? Chid said he declined the offer of a duty solicitor in the police station. Then said at two court appearances he had solicitors for free. mC asked how’s that ? Franks dad said Legal Aid . Nothing to do with Released under investigation or bail or magistrates or crown courts. A duty solicitor offered in a police station is completely different to asking for Legal Aid to pay for your defence when appearing at court . I know threads meander but this is now miles away from the original discussion . Cheers

    It’s said he was instructed by Number 10 spinners. If true, Starmer has two choices; Throw one of his ministers under the bus by disagreeing with him; Or, agreeing with him and have an army of lawyers looking into HIS background.     This is where I differ from the Farage haters; he , in my mind , created the situation, (EU withdrawal), where we would regain sovereignty over our borders and not be subject to EU rules.
