Seriously mate, if I was as disillusioned with this country as you are, I’d be off somewhere better ! You seem a handy lad that can turn his hand to most things, you love hunting, you have a young family; somewhere like Australia, New Zealand or Canada would be perfect for you . I did it when I was 24 and loved it, I retired and came home when my circumstances changed. This country is ok for old farts like me, but holds no future for you young’uns, especially with a Labour government. Cheers.

A good few years ago I was spending a bit of time down South Yorkshire way at Mally’s house, doing a bit of everything , lamping, coursing, ferreting, shooting, all on his permissions. One night we were to go lamping so we called the farmers and called the police to let them know when and where we’d be and get an incident number. Anyhow, we lamped the first farm then walked along a lane past a farm we didn’t have permission on , heading to the next farm. Equally at home sipping a ‘sling in Raffles or trudging the North West Passage ! Dining on mutton curry with the Afghans or savouring a chateaubriand with a gnome of Zurich, he is equally at home ! I didn’t like the way he abused his moderator status by getting into arguments and then banning or suspending people like mChull when he didn’t agree with them, when he was just as bad, possibly worse seeing as he was a moderator. Cheers.

It won the lamping comp both years, there were a lot of dogs entered from all over , Scotland to Cornwall A few people slagged the comps off but they were mainly people who didn’t enter . Cheers.

I remember Max bringing an old coursing type bitch out of retirement to run in one of the lamping competitions. I think it was Tomo judging and he said it came back with its rabbits as quickly as it went out ! Just goes to show, some coursing types actually DO come back ! LOL ! Cheers.

When someone says something is the “best in the world” you can usually bet it isn’t ! Im one of the least breed blind in the game, I’ve seen all types of pures and crosses do very well, from beddy types right through to deerhound crosses. Probably the best “all rounder “, ( yes, I know this term means different things to different people), was Bruce the rescue dog, and the only thing we know about him is that his dam was a greyhound. As I obviously haven’t seen every running dog, there would most likely have been even better dogs than him, so it’s best to keep an open mind when

He’s a wrong’un but I doubt he will lose his peerage, not even the king can revoke it. It can only be done by an Act Of Parliament. He is due to retire next year, so he will probably take “early retirement “ on a huge pension . Cheers.

I don’t regret getting the covid jab. I still got covid, but all depends on you view; Was the jab ineffective because it didn’t stop me getting covid ? Or, maybe the jab may have prevented my covid infection from being worse or even fatal for someone of my age ? I really don’t know, but on reflection I don’t regret getting the jab. Others will think differently and I respect their opinions, I’d like to think they respect mine. Cheers.
