  1. Trump has declared himself the winner but he’s not quite there yet; only another four electoral college votes needed ! So much for the pollsters, there’s been a massive voter swing to Trump. I hope he starts on the “payback” as soon as possible, especially with people like Lammy ! Cheers.
  2. I’ve had an afternoon nap when I finished at the allotment and had the dogs out, watching GBNews now and their full time coverage starts from 0200 and goes on all night . Plenty coffee and I should stay awake ! Cheers.
  3. Well, Labour has pissed off the pensioners, the farmers and now the students ! If they keep this up, who is going to vote for them next time ? Just the far left lunatics and immigrants and some who are so stupid like some up here who say “ me da and me granda voted Labour so I will aswell”…… Cheers.
  4. With todays draconian punishments for coursing I doubt very much that people want their names mentioned…… Cheers.
  5. She’s also said Badenoch is “a white supremacist in blackface” but has quickly deleted the tweet. Imagine if Farage had said that ? The police would be kicking his door in and arresting him ! Cheers.
  6. I doubt I’ll reach the threshold to pay Inheritance Tax, but if the threshold stays the same as it is now, with inflation, rise in house prices and pay increases it’s the younger generations that will be affected by fiscal drag taking them into higher income tax brackets and Inheritance Tax liabilities. Taxes that used to only affect the rich are suddenly on the horizon for the middle and working classes. Cheers.
  7. I think Inheritance Tax is one of the most egregious taxes there is. If someone works and pays Income Tax, invests wisely and pays tax on their dividends, pays tax on the interest their money in the bank earns, pays capital gains tax on a second property they bought and improved and sold on at a profit, why should they pay tax on what they leave to their children when that money, assets, etc has been taxed many times over already ? Cheers.
  8. Let’s not forget, all coursing events, wether it was The Waterloo Cup for greyhounds or the Forley Cup for Lurchers, were run on farmland and supported by farmers and landowners. Most fox hunts were on farmland aswell. The Countryside March against the Hunting Act was well supported by land owners, farmers and farm workers, probably more of them than hare coursers, although I may be wrong. Land owners and farmers are against poachers and trespassers but most certainly aren’t against field sports. Just my take on it. Cheers.
  9. Here’s one for the conspiracy theorists; Labour are going to make it impossible for small, family farms to be owned by working class people. They also passed a little noticed law in the budget reducing the discount on buying your council house, making it even more difficult for a working man to own his own house. Never mind, Labour MP Emily Thornberry , real name Lady Nuger, bought a council house with full discount then sold it at a huge profit. Angela Rayner, Labour MP and Deputy Prime Minister, and her husband bought TWO council houses and sold them at a profit. Bu
  10. You supporting Newcastle, Mac, after our great win last night ? Cheers.
  11. They aren’t “chipping away “ at them mate; they are going to destroy family owned farms. Up to now, farms and agricultural land had zero rated Inheritance Tax, meaning a farmer could pass on his farm to his children when he died. Now Labour has put 20% Inheritance Tax on farms and agricultural land. Family farmers are normally asset rich, ( land, buildings, equipment, stock, etc), but cash poor. Now if a farmer dies his family won’t have the cash to pay the “death duties” and will have to sell up to pay the tax. Big business will buy up the land, leave it fallow or put trees
  12. Farage was castigated for saying we weren’t being told the truth !! Cheers.
  13. Looks like you two enjoyed yourselves; Cheers.
  14. Is that for one fish & chips ? Its £24 for two fish and chips here. I refuse to pay that, it’s cheaper going to the pub and getting fish & chips twice and a bottle of wine ! I also get the “Deluxe Extra Large Cod in Batter” two cod fillets , for £4.25, from Lidl and make my own chips from tatties from the allotment and peas. Works it about a fiver for the two of us. But then again, I’m a tight old f****r ! LOL ! Cheers.
  15. There’s a tool for removing broken taps, something like an “easy out”. Cheers.
  16. Buy your tools from the Poundshop or Lidl’s if you don’t mind skinned knuckles and damaged parts, You can tell a good mechanic by the tools he has. Cheers.
  17. Jeddah-London about7 hours then London -Newcastle one hour. Flying BA this time instead of Emirates Jeddah-DBX-Newcastle to avoid all those missiles around the Gulf ! Cheers.
  18. I have never played a game on a computer , I just pay the insane prices for the games for him, he has a ps5 and plays on line against gamers all over the world. He called me two days ago to tell me about his science exam, he explained all about latent, kinetic and potential energy and he’s only nine years old ! He must take after me ! LOL ! Cheers.
  19. My grandson is coming in two weeks time and I spent 20 minutes today assembling a gamers chair for him. The only tool needed was an Allen key and that came with it. Thats about the limit of my hands on work these days mate ! LOL ! Cheers.
  20. Get a bit of spiral cable tidy on that and it’ll look almost professional ! LOL ! Cheers.
  21. Thanks for the kind offer, but I probably have enough electrical qualifications to handle any household electrical problems, if I get stuck, you’ll be the first person I’ll call ! Cheers.
  22. Removing income tax would be ok, after all, it was only introduced to fund the Napoleonic Wars , and was supposed to be repealed during peacetime. The problems I can see with removing income tax is the shortfall in tax revenue would have to be made up by putting up other taxes, VAT, fuel duty , energy tax, etc, and you can bet your bank managers life that you will end up paying more tax overall no matter what government is in power! Also, what about people who don’t pay income tax , like the low payed, pensioners, etc ? They would end up paying far more in general taxation. Cheers
  23. I actually used your “sweet shop “ analogy when discussing this earlier today ! Labour are proposing all the new laws they would like to impose on us with their student politics mentality but when wiser heads explain , they do a “u turn “. Evidently the no smoking in pub gardens is going to be ditched now. Cheers.
  24. Labours mask is slipping more and more and their far left communist thinking is showing more and more. Starmer has said that anyone with stocks and shares or “ assets “, (whatever that means ), isn’t a “working person”. He has had to quickly row back on that as many “working people” have a few shares and if you own your own home it’s classed as an “asset”. I worked all my life until I decided to retire, and I have a very small portfolio of shares and own my own house, so according to Starmer I’m not a “working person” ! I find this very offensive , coming from a man who has n
