  1. Fitted it myself Tim, transformed it in a way. I know the bottle pressure at a glance and much quicker to top up. Tool to remove the original valve from the bottle comes with the new valve and gauge. It’s a worthwhile conversion in my opinion.?
  2. A few pictures Tim. The front stud is on the bottle clamp on mine, so isn’t affected by the valve inlet hole.
  3. Yes Tim, I got the Dr Bobs straight through one but with that you need to bore a hole in the stock. I’ll take some pictures if you like?
  4. My fx impact is a brilliant tool really, but they are expensive. I also have a rapid that’s well used but still very accurate. I fitted a quick fill and gauge to bring it more up to date. The impact is more capable with regards to power adjustment and probably for shooting slugs, but is it that much better than the rapid, I don’t know? One thing I do know, I wouldn’t want to ever part with the rapid.
  5. I agree that the 18 grain AA/ jsb’s are brilliant at around 35ft lbs. They’re accurate at 75 yards alright, even at 100 yards, great pellets for fac guns. Good shooting vm?
  6. Just to cheer everyone up a bit, here’s a stoat that apparently committed suicide on my shoot….
  7. I believe they are the same action so should fit?
  8. I don’t mind fag smoke, it’s them vapes I don’t like the smell of. Massive clouds of sickly smelling vapour. Each to their own.
  9. I can’t stand the smell of them bloody vape things, absolutely lousy…
  10. Agreed Tim, although I enjoy mooching around after squirrels with a shotgun, peanuts draw them in for a decent tally off the feeders…
  11. I sometimes use .22 shorts or cb longs at close range but shooting into a soil banking you should be ok with standard subs?
  12. Mangina, that might be it, not sure though……?
  13. Looks like camel toe….??
  14. Yerr, tastier than rabbit any day imo..?
  15. Yerr, I’ve recently had an Essex sbs given to me. Haven’t used it yet but it feels like it should be ok for me. Haven’t had an o/u for years and I don’t really like them anyway.
  16. You’ll enjoy that David, they’re brilliant tools ?
  17. Not a bad start Ian, don’t worry, you’ve still got another week to get the rest of your Christmas shopping done….?
  18. Good result vm. Are you shooting them off feeders?
  19. Good ‘ol Tony. Like he said, a bolt is better than a side lever because it keeps everything in line. That’ll be why they’ve started fitting side levers then ?
  20. We’ll, that depends on pellet weight. Average weight pellets in both calibres come out at around 6.5ft lbs at those velocities. For 450fps velocity to reach 10.9ft lbs the pellet would need to weigh over 24 grains.
  21. I think they’re only about 6ft lbs energy so might be worth checking out if it’s for shooting live quarry?
