I sympathise Little Lurcher! Ouch! I'm notoriously accident prone but none of my more serious ones have been to do with horses, mostly daft accidents that could've been avoided! Good luck with the surgery, hope you get it all sorted out.

I used to working in a (horse) racing yard and used them on a few of the inmates, they are very good! As said before, good for use after hard work etc. Certainly with the horses they did a belt that presumably worked in the same way, they may be cheaper if you can find one for dogs?

Black dogs, for some reason are the hardest to rehome. I'm not sure why but people seem to prefer other colours. I have introduced two greys into my house in the past 4 years and had a few as short term fosters too. The dog gave me no problems at all apart from one or two house training issues but other than that he was easy. The bitch is a very dominant one and at the time of introducing her I only had one other resident dog, a terrier bitch. I won't say that things were easy, they often scrapped (usually started by the terrier) and the greyhound being so much bigger and more powerful

Thanks for the replies. The dog is coming up to 2. One of his littermates went out and won her first race I am told but he definately seems to prefer the real thing. He seems to have found a chase instinct, he put up a rabbit and went after it although it got through a fence and away from him. We were only out walking at the time but it was good to see him take an interest. As i've said, it makes no difference to me, he has a home here for life regardless.

I put mine back one year in my alcoholic state and turned up at 8am to pick my daughter up from my mum rather than 10am, she wasn't too pleased... My phone and everything else changed the clocks themselves which is probably just aswell as I was in not fit state as I fell thruogh the door at 4am after a rather wild girls night out!

I used to watch it all the time but I don't anymore. I've been on paranormal investigations and experienced strange things but I don't know if they were genuine, or if it was imagination going wild. A pub I go in and my friend used to manage is reputedly haunted and lots of strange things do happen in there! Lots of things that can't be explained. Most Haunted would be boring each week if nothing happened, when they went to Michelham Priory for the 100th episode they did rig things etc, I knew someone who worked there at the time and although he says very odd things happen they don

Glad it worked! I've been at a meeting so only just seen this but i'm glad that its doing some good. I'm wondering of some tweaking or stronger material might do for more heavy duty use. Are yours neoprene type material? Snaps, you just behave yourself or i'll be withholding that steak and pepper sauce!

My bitch is a winner and its all on greyhound data for the world to see, I know nothing about the racing grading but apparently she was a pretty good grade. She came from a rescue centre and I paid nothing for her. Your friend will be lucky to get money for a dog carrying an injury that isn't fast enough for the track... -
