    Microsoft word

If you are doing a college course you probably will need Word, most colleges use Blackboard these days and most assignments are downloaded from there and Word is the program generally used and I found that woth only Microsoft works I couldn't open the Word files as they weren't compatible. Plus anything you save to memory stick etc will need to be compatible with college computers, if you use them. I have a disc that I was given with a programme called Star office, its compatible with word that i've used in the past, before I got Microsoft Office if you get no joy from other things you try
  2. This lot could start it just about anywhere me thinks...
  3. And out of the woodwork they did come...
  4. I reckon you probably are Kay!
  5. I got lumbered for a bloody weekend once i was staying in Chester & there was one of these irritating types in the same pub i stayed at, i had to keep hiding as he did my head in , i only went for a break with my mate who thought it was highly ammusing It seems to happen every time I go out! My mate and I went to Belfast for a girls weekend and on the friday night we went for a few quiet (ahem) drinks in the pub down the road from our hotel and I attracted the local nutter! I have a mate from Belfast and her accent is broad but this was somesort of bloody made up something or o
  6. Ferrets seem to have become the new in cuddly fwuffy pets though...
  7. Well next time buy us a drink eh?
  8. Oh i thought that just happened to me Happens to me too. Whereever I go. Usually to the amusement of my mates!
  9. My latest addition, a failed foster was handed over to rescue when he failed to chase. As far as i'm aware he didn't even make it to puppy trials. He's been here since october and now seems to be developing a chase instinct. When I was out with the foxhounds on saturday, my lurcher saw something interesting and did his best to get on after it (he was on the lead) and Phoenix showed an interest which is something he's never done. Not long after he arrived I took him to a lure coursing event although he wasn't entered but he didn't take any notice whatsoever. He's never been registered o
  10. Hunting in itself is a fairly male dominated pastime but that in no way means that us girlies can't do the job as well as any man. With lurcher work its more about having a good dog but you still need to be prepared to get your hands dirty and you still need to be able to get that dog working to the best of its potential and that takes a good relationship with said dog. My sister always wanted to get into hunt service but was put off by the amount of people that said it was just not a job for girls. She proved many people wrong when she spent various weeks at different packs and was do

    Little Lloyd

    Happy Birthday Little Lloyd!
  12. A friends horse I rode once may aswell have been a hireling, we had a few serious disagreements that day! My fault for taking out a 5 yr old that had never hunted before...
  13. Crawley and Horsham. Hirelings can be great fun!
  14. If you excel at rugby are you looking for a team to play for?!
  15. I have a few times but not regularly as at the moment I don't have a horse, I lost my mare almost 5 years ago. I have to make do with going out on foot at the moment. I'm in C&H country.
  16. Well i've had my share of flying lessons and bruises and I don't like it much so I try and stay on now instead! I could always find sensible horses to ride but thats no fun!
  17. I don't always do it with particular style.
  18. I don't regret anything that made me happy at the time. If I could go back i'd have been older when I had my daughter but its certainly not a regret. Gaia, i'd do it in your position, you'll have a ball!
  19. Now I can ride but i'm not sure if I excel at it exactly. I can stay on the bloody things when they decide that two legs are better than four though.
  20. I agree with Lurchergrrl, the cruelty is not neccessary. The fact that it is dogs, horses or whatever makes no difference but there should be some standards. However, there aren't and even when there are they are not always adhered to. Did anyone see the documentary about slaughter houses a couple of years ago? This was a slaughter house in England, I forget where but some of the employees did the meat trade no favours what so ever, they played games with pigs and stunners and laughed about it, I can only hope that they lost thier jobs as a result.
  21. Most of the hunting I do is following hounds. I'm not upper class in any way, far from it. Working class through and through. My friends describe me as posh because I hunt. At school I was always the posh kid because we had horses and I grew up on a farm, it couldn't be further from the truth. I was brought up to respect those around me and to speak properly, I don't think that makes me posh! You are right though, it is used as an excuse. Some people see past the class issue and for whatever reason still see hunting as cruel. Someone I know and have had in depth conversations about hunting
  22. Oooh, let me think. Getting myself into trouble, not thinking before speaking, being addicted to complete b*****ds, um I think thats enough for the time being. I might find a sensible reply to this thread in the back of my mind somewhere...
  23. From my experience a lot of people who are anti hunting don't mind hunting for the pot but as soon as the fwuffy wuffy foxes are involved they don't like it. Also and I think this is a big factor, when hunting is mentioned the picture that immediately comes to mind is a man in red on a horse with hounds. We all know that the hunting ban was more to do with class issues rather than cruelty and many people still make the same assumptions regardless of what type of hunting any of us take part in.
