  1. Depends on the judge but yes, usually being castrated will go against a dog. I've only ever shown my lurcher a couple of times as a bit of fun but everytime the judge has told me had he not been castrated he would have been placed higher. He was castrated before I got him though as he came from a rescue.
  2. Agreed! Thats one of the things I love about rugby and its fans, when in football did you see fans of different nations seated together in stands without any punch ups etc. At twickenham last year we were in the south stand with probably an even mixture of south african and english fans and we had a laugh with plenty of banter between us and not a single cross word spoken! For all the banter that there has been on this thread its been fun and light hearted for the most part.
  3. Some vets won't do it as its far more traumatic for the dog when its older to have dew claws out that it is when they are pups.
  4. Got tickets for England VS Wales, can't wait!
  5. Well I am proud to be English tongiht. For a team that were written off from the start of this competition they have done pretty well! I will admit that I didn't think that England would come through the group stages but they did us proud! A team is made up of more than just one man and much as I rate Jonny as a player (I could also do very naughty things to him) there are 14 other men behind him making up that squad and he has had far too much emphasis and pressure laid on him for far too long...
  6. The match was a bit feisty in places. Nice to see the french get done over in such a fashion. Looking forward to tonight. Got a match this afternoon with the team I am secretary for so a rugby filled day.
  7. I'm also pretty sure they HAVE to give you written notice about 10 days before they take the charges so kick up enough fuss and they should refund them for you. Good luck!
  8. As far as i'm aware any claims for bank charges is being put on hold while they fight out in court the rights and wrongs over charges. Until the court case is settled no claims can go ahead. You can also claim back and credit card charges too though, this is not on hold. There was an item on GMTV during the week about it info Here
  9. I *think* if they flash you from the opposite side of the road they can't see the full numberplate so can't send out a fine. Thats what someone told me after I was flashed by a camera on the opposite side of the road from me. Knowing my bloody luck i'll get a nice enforcement letter through the door now though...
  10. Sincerely hope he is found safe and well soon! A friend of mine has just gone through the same thing although her dog was not stolen he bolted when approached by an aggressive dog. Thankfully he was found, I hope you have some good news soon.
  11. He looks great, i've always loved his markings! We had a great day, even if Griff was a bit of a moron! It was nice that everyone seemed to enjoy the day! Goon your pictures are brilliant, i'm stuck on dial up at the moment but did get to look at them the other day via LL.
  12. Dial Post isn't overly far from me either.
  13. She's 8 now. I had her when she retired at 5. I have to watch her with small dogs and cats. Her prey drive is very high!
  14. Its in Peterborough. Unfortunately the day is full up now, its all in aid of Lurcher Link.
  15. Thanks everyone. Yeah, here he is B Moocher and my ex racing bitch.
  16. I have an ex track bitch and she is very keen. She lived with my russell just about but I have to really watch her with small dogs out and about, if there is any chance of any small dogs being around she has to be muzzled and will go for cats too. I've had her 3 years now and she'll catch rabbits with no problem but her prey drive for all things small and moving is a bit much sometimes.
  17. Another Sussex resident here. I keep meaning to go to an SLD meet and never get round to it. Going to a charity lure coursing event next month at EOE showground though.
  18. Hi all, new member here. Come from the south coast, mostly follow fox hounds but do have a lurcher too.
