    Was on a rat job in a school. I explained that a programme using ferrets is advised as the rats are exhibiting bait & trap shyness. Heavy activity under the many porta cabins and sheds .I'm gobsmacked at the personal views of the teachers , but not surprised. They stopped short of saying I was cruel. Having explained how rodentiides work and how glue boards must be checked every 12 hours . Trying to explain it's far more humane using the old methods is futile.     Still no takers for the job unfortunately. As I said previously, I reckoned a lad that was a keen hunter sould be suited to the post . It is a shitty job to start with, pardon the pun. I myself took a big pay cut to get into pest control. However, after a lot of hard work and dedication I have far surpassed my previous earning capacity of any my previous jobs . I have knocked back the managers job but advised the owner to promote a 30 year old with less experience to that post .     Agreed . I bumped into a lad who had put himself through his level 2 . He asked for a job . I started him 2 weeks later . That was a year ago. I'd hate to lose him . Hes just bought his first house and only 23 . Proper level headed and a grafter . Unfortunately he seems the only one out there . Most are just nae users . Never will graft but will moan if there is a queue at accident and emergency. Never played a stamp or tax in there wee puff lol

    I know a lad who is in contact with a fella in Mexico. He has pure blacks . Seemingly he works the arse off them . And obviously they are prevalent in the doggo gene .     Always good to read people's views that hav actually owned one . Going by the replies , I think it's fair to say there are more poor EBTs now than good ones . Isn't it interesting how the Pakistanis have taken the breed forward. However there doesn't seem to be a particular standard to the gull terriers
