    Buddy , I'm up in castlemilk. Where is it you plan to work your terrier and possible small lurcher . Now I know theres good rat populations at the back of the viridor site and along the railway to rutherglen where there are some rabbits in the industrial estates . But let me advise you .     In the original post, the pup is very coo hocked. However, he looks all over the place in his growth . And pictures can make things look worse . A little video of him walking and playing might give lads with a bit of experience of this a better advantage to pass comment,. Personally I'd stick to short regular walks and a bit of free running, as for the feeding . If hes on too much protein, it might not be doing him favours as hes growing too fast . So I will go against the grain with advice and if it was me I'd stick with a very good complete puppy diet for next 5 months with a good chicke

    Have a 3 year old fell terrier. Great recall. Loves bushing , very quick and has really opened my eyes to this type. And it has crossed me and a friends thoughts of how hed go over a non ped whippet. But I hear it's been tried and aren't what they should be

    I think back in the day a lot of places where there was double fences etc , the hares were easier. The hares didnt have to out run the dog but rather use the obstacles to evade capture. This type of land was normally pasture land . And as such is easier to rum and turn on . A very good dog could bully the hare away from the bad fences and the races were usually at the minute, minute and half . Whereas where mchull runs it's a test of endurance.     Got my first saluki x off tom . He put the dog postie . A local dog up in wick . Direct out of tor o dartmoor. Effectively 3/4 grehound. His greys were from coursing stock . The bitch I got was electric but could stay for a month . There wasn't a word from that man that didn't come true about that pup . He was waiting to have a triple bypass at the time . Could you pass on my well wishes to him and tell him its benny from Glasgow that sends him my thanks ?

    Them 2 little dogs are exciting to watch . Look like whippet saluki crosses . Great gears and mouth . Really enjoyed that . Cheers

    I have honestly seen this dog carry out pest control work . Hes past his best but still some dog imo. Jaw power is unreal . And a real good nose . Just my twopence worth

    Finding it hard to find breaks in the weather and places runable . 4 weeks of near on continuous frost/ice . But just got to get creative.
