  1. As you know. Just waiting on the rain and cooling. Some pups have had a peek . And looked real good . But as you know. It's easy to be fooled
  2. No , romeo x chance dog put to Eddie sweeneys gypsie
  3. Some breeding that . I used to talk to stick hutcheson about cindy. Our double bred romeo pups just turned 12 month . Early signs are real good
  4. Aye Ron nae bother . Look back , see where the comments started . Or are you too biased . Theres always 3 sides . Your , mine and the truth . As for a Celtic supporter. Yes . Scottish, yes and proud of it . And proud of my ancestry also . I will keep your advice to mind .
  5. You can go on all you want . My family lost kin to the black and tans . Remember them ? . Let's leave it at that. Or do you really me to go on about this too . Let sleeping dogs be . I merely reacted to your comment
  6. Same old chat at start of every season. RHVD is the rabbits biggest threat . But hammering them in places where numbers are so low really does not make sense. I've said many times , what are folk not catching and releasing in areas devoid of rabbits . I have 6 areas local to me that had absolutely no rabbits for 12 year . About 9 year back I started dropping 4/5 rabbits each time I went ferreting. I learned that around horse paddocks and house were the places. Right next to short grazing fields . Nearly 10 years on I still go round 5 of the 6 places I released them. They are doing quite w
  7. You 2 going out soon ?? Surely not till after November
  8. Agree with all that . Was just saying them deer ruin many a day for me . They ain't my quarry. But accidents do happen, unfortunately. A truly good dog is to be worked hard with its owner working just as hard conditioning and feeding it proper. And yes there are very few men I go out with . Always been the same
  9. This dog was from castlemilk buddy . Blue rough .
  10. Them bloody deer ruin a good coursing dog. And a good day out . Hate the things .

Certain breeds are more robust. But in this game where we are trying to breed the best attribute from various breeds , one litter mate can throw steadier than its sibling. Imho , breed and style along with ground worked is the main factors.
  12. That's a fair comment. But I'd bet you wouldn't run it at 12 month in January, same way you would run a seasoned dog .?
  13. Hounds looking well brother. No coursing through the site lately ??
  14. Buddy , I'm up in castlemilk. Where is it you plan to work your terrier and possible small lurcher . Now I know theres good rat populations at the back of the viridor site and along the railway to rutherglen where there are some rabbits in the industrial estates . But let me advise you . IF your terrier takes to a working life . It wont make old bones around your estate . The fox problem as you know is of plague proportions. Your dog WILL come across them . Between the busy roads and railway. You wont have a dog long . I was treating for rats recently at toryglen . I couldn't let my fell te
