    I spoke to a fella this morning who had a Italian grey x whippet ,it just a pet and to be honest I couldn't see this little thing doing a shift on rabbits as it looked very weak and fragile even with a whippet bred into the mix ,it looked like it could be quick but its legs looked fragile so I couldn't imagine a pure doing work apart from sitting looking pretty

    I not see the Spanish greys run but I did go out for couple of days with a pack of rabbit dogs , we got talking to taxi driver on way from airport in palma and he Invited me and the misses out ,we had a good time and made really welcome, they a noisy lot but that's just how they do things and they was mainly shooting My kind of bar that .

    If they can run that ground in Spain they got to be tuff as old boots and wouldnt see why they wouldn't do a fox as let's face it a good whippet can and will do fox but maybe not a all out fox dog but a juckel got it in them or ain't never mind the x it is ,and this type don't seem to have a problem running in the heat ,my scruffy lot be on there bellys tounge a yard long after a run on in the heat these run in .

    Only lines I like is the ones me juckel doing behind something bud ,South isnt for me ,not a place to live but a couple weeks in the sun not so bad but like I say I like northern Spain .atb

    Did he get a home ? His markings same as me old retired dog I have by me feet and similar breeding and if I'd have had room I'd have had him ,couldn't show the misses as she'd be in me ear wanting him lol ?

    The misses wants to move to southern Spain but I'm not up for it but northern Spain id pack me kit tonight, As for failing your juckel ,he wouldn't want to be without you and thats all that matters .

    Do you do much hunting out there ? Your not to far from pyrenees, I travelled from one side to the other few yr ago and met some great people and amazing places ,your a lucky man to have the beach so close and mountain range a short drive away . Atb mooch

    Would like to find a ruff coated dog maybe contact a kennel in Spain as I really like this type .

    No denying they look nice ,I had a weasel yrs ago I found injured and took her home and fed her and realesed her once she was ok ,I never handled her apart from picking her up when I found her half dead and again when I realised her 3 months later ,she would take meat out me hand after a while but I never wanted her to become tame as she was always going to be released and I let her go on a horse paddocks with good numbers of rabbits .

    Hope he does OK bud ,shame about the other one but you got your pup and if I could take a litter from my bitch and she only have one be a blessing as it takes away the worries of placing pups in good hands . Good luck ?

    If you say working with a lurcher i don't see what one could do that a ferret couldn't .

    I suppose if you got a kit it would become semi tame but I wouldn't want to trust one with my hands to be honest, are the American ones same as European mink ? I stick with me ferrets and keep me fingers .

    Introduce them in a place away from home ,like local park etc and let them walk together and get to know each other and like you say walk them together and keep a eye out at feed times and make sure they both have there own place to get away from either for a break ,hope everything turns out OK for you bud ,atb mooch

    Spoke to John and is wife who passed away couple yrs ago several times always willing to help others and a true gentleman who will be sadly missed .

    Get a bedy grey ,they bigger ,stronger than the whippet x and make a better all round type of juckel and unlike the bedy whippet they not bred in large numbers for ££££ notes ,

    Vet told me my dog had kennel cough and it turned out to be lung worm ,if it don't clear up pop milbamax in as you never no . I had 3 vets say kennel cough,and lung worm will make a dog cough so be 9n safe side as we all no pups will eat anything .
