Ferrets Bolting rabbits to the dogs got to be my favourite and you karnt beat a good days ferreting with a juckel that knows its job but rabbit numbers local is at all time low and don't look to be changing so for now its few night on lamp and mooching early mornings see if we can put something up ,only got one runner and a busher type and unless things change I think the runner will be my last .love to take a litter out her but I really couldn't justify taking a litter without keeping a pup myself .

Nice pup mate ,hope it all goes well for you both ,always like the acd x and maybe once me old whippet x gone I get one but until then he's got a life of being spoilt rotten and he deserves it as he's been one of the best dogs I had ,shame they get old but time stands still for no man or dog .do you have pics of parents as be nice to see , Atb Mooch

That ruff coated dog looks like the type me brothers kept in 70s , they was good honest dogs .

Like you say better to start a youngster at 14/15 months than ruin a good dog running it to young , always take mine ferreting ,lamping rabbits then once old anufe give them a run on bigger stuff . Bitch I got now looked capable at yr old but to me she was still a pup but by 18 mts she was more than capable to be slipped on anything that got up.

Think skycat had airedale lurchers ,first x wouldn't be my choice but 3q bred probably make a good juckel but its all down to land we work .penny wrote few good articles about ones she kept .

When looking for a pup bred a certain way its always going to be a up hill struggle in my opinion unless you no folk who run the type you looking for and if that was the case you wouldn't be asking on here ? They lots of folk who say there dogs this and that but really nothing of the sort ,I'd forget the % bit and go for a pup bred from workers with bull in the mix .

Where are you in Midlands? I got a albino hob you can have ,he's just over yr old and out of working stock .I've got to let two go as I be honest they not anufe rabbits local to justify keeping more than I need and don't see it changing anytime soon , Atb

I have nothing against controlling fox or anything else but going on a farm you have no right to be on and shoot cubs for no reason is criminal in my opinion .

I think I have one somewhere, I have a look for it and if you want it you can have it as long as you pay postage, its more about the breed than work but a good book if you in to these types.

Like been said did you see parents and I no even when breeder shows you both parents he might be telling porkies, I been in same position 7 yr ago ,my pup wasn't what she supposed to be but I'm glad I kept her as she's a great little worker and a joy to have around the home .put a few pics up

I totally agree with what you say ,deal with them before they got young . I have no problems with controlling anything as long as its done the right way . Like you say countryside management not slaughter .

Your protecting sheep so I understand they need to be controlled but to go on land you have no perm and shoot cubs is just fffing wrong mate .

And let's hope certain types of shooting becomes illegal very soon
