  2. Skycat is they not 3 types of picardy hurders ? One being a small type with a ruff coat ? I'm sure i see a doc about goat herders who had these types to protect the herd from wolves etc . The larger ones stayed on outskirts of the herd ranging while small one stayed close ,they looked a hardy bunch

  5. A girl i know keeps 3 OR 4 COLLIE WHIPPET, don't worj them just uses them for speed ball comps but look good types

My uncul said he went up Scotland to get his pup and he said he never see or had another dog like gripper ,said it not the fastest type but like he says speed not everything, he went over the water to get a irish coursing bitch and bred a litter and pups was ok but none as good as gripper .for him to day best dog he ever had says a lot as he's had some good dogs over the yrs .
  8. Like this x ,I got a first x bedy grey and thinking of putting a collie type over her, bit of collie in the mix goes a long way .

I ask because I was talking to me uncul and he said the best pot filler he ever had in 70 yr of running dogs the best dog he had was bred this way but he doubts they any of the old type of beardie collie about today ? He used is old dog gripper for most stuff but mainl gate and long netting .atb mooch

  14. I like both xs but bedy grey bigger stronger and do a lot more without getting punished, but saying that I see some great bedy whippets
  15. Bedy grey ,good on the lamp and works well with ferrets ,and will give anything a go .
  16. This 3q terrier q whippet good ferreting bitch and shows the bigger dogs a thing or 2 ,she's bedy whippet x russel x patt . Amount of times she put bigger dogs to shame .
  17. We call them good old days ? but battery acid faffing nightmare ,amount of times I fell over as a kid karrying the battery for me uncul and he'd say its OK boy its in a box ? some box a plastic tub ?
  18. Any lurcher should be able to take rabbits but I'd say a whippet x grey whith a bit of collie in the mix be my choice or a bedlington grey x collie grey .

I'm the same ,only take what you need and can carry ,I never been into the numbers game as to me its like the shooting brigade killing several hundred pheasants in a day .different if its a paid job but I'm only interested in feeding the ferrets and seeing the dogs work ,you be hard pushed to bag half a dozen local ,plenty other stuff about to keep the dogs happy ?
  20. Took 20s few times but few yr ago now,they no numbers local to me so if we take five the dog works hard for them but never about numbers these days its just good to be out and see me dogs do what they love to do .
