When we moved about 5 years ago, we looked at a few houses there but couldn’t justify the price, there’s houses that are basically the same as where I live now and they are 70-80 grand more because of the postcode, ?

Flat out today, knocked a garage and utility room down, then pulled a kitchen out while my mate dug the founds for the new garage ( building control are nuts, you could build a house on that footing ) now putting the concrete in, busy, busy

Well I’m calling it a night because I’m losing the light and I’ve got an early start in the morning, I’ve seen 2, first one, I had the caller in the silage field and I was stud at the top gate expecting anything to come up the cut grass, so with the caller out I thought I’d give it 20 minutes or so, next thing, there’s a ragged looking fox the other side of the gate and it had walked up the barley instead of the grass, seen me and trotted back into the long grass on the track, I then moved to another spot, put the caller out on chicken distress, within 2 minutes a fox was in the bottom of the

Had a muntie trip yesterday, I would call it an experience, maybe not one I’d repeat, met the bloke, clearly a professional deer manager, no craic whatsoever, after been told a load of rules like, no pictures, no walking around, don’t go and pick anything up and so on, was dropped off at a “ high seat “ pile of pallets I would call it, sat there for almost 3 hours before anything happened, then it was 2 doe’s and 1 buck in 20 minutes, also had a fox cub, which I duly missed ? this is becoming a running theme lately, anyway it was something a bit different up at the sheep farm now to stre

I stopped using Winchester for the same reason, very inconsistent with the size of the hollow point, switched to CCI, the work well through the little CZ, recently got 500 Norma and I’ve only used a dozen or so but they seem good

Levelled out behind the wall, steps in and look nice but would of been a lot better and in keeping with the house and wall if he’d of used reclaimed Yorkshire stone, but the customer is apparently always right

Tom’s a cracking lad, nothing is to much trouble for him, everything is always next day, if you have a problem with anything he’ll just send you another and tell you to return the other one when you have time and they pay the postage, I got to know him because I know his dad, he’s the only professional deer stalker I’ve ever met that’s a good laugh to go out shooting with, he used to be really involved with the BDS but rapped in because they just spent all their time telling people what they did was wrong instead of helping them

Don’t know if this is any good for anyone but nightmaster are selling off their discontinued eclipse torches, I’ve just got a new Red one for under £50, they are normally about £150 and the NM1 that’s replaced it is about £180 ?

If they hadn’t of been a picture I’d of said a Welshman ? I’m back out of my dark room and I’ve stopped crying ? I’ve just had a quality invite to go and clear muntjac off some land, all I have to do is turn up and shoot, the lad who is in charge of it will collect them and sort them out form there, hopefully my disastrous efforts at the weekend were just a blip in my rifle shooting ?

Sat in the back garden having a whiskey, listening to the birds after embarrassing myself on a night out on the foxes, first one, didn’t see it until the last minute because I was looking over the top of it, I couldn’t of kicked it, second one, a cub, clean miss, it wasn’t even that far away, if you don’t hear from me for a bit, it’s because I’m sat in a dark room rocking back and forwards crying ?

Yeah, genuinely the first time I’ve done it, I know it’s nowhere near as skilled as laying bricks but I’m pretty chuffed with how it looks ? I mentioned going up another course but he hasn’t got enough stone, everything in the village is built from sandstone so he’s going to ask about to see if anyone has any laying around

I consider myself lucky up here to be under Cleveland firearms, they have always ( up to now ) been very easy to deal with and very knowledgeable when you ask any questions, there’s none of this, we’ll get back to you , the ammo thing with what you can hold is stupid, I bet what it says on my ticket is different to a lot of other peoples, I bet not one person has had a FEO counting rounds when they get a visit and on another note, the closed ticket thing also baffles me, why would someone who is deemed safe to use a firearm on one piece of land not be considered responsible enough to know if t

Yeah, I’ve just spoke to longshanx, he’s just renewed, they rang him yesterday and as nothing has changed they did it all over the phone and said it will be with him in a couple of days, it’s mad, they all do the same job and follow the same guidance

So you can’t buy ammo or receive it from anyone else because you don’t have a ticket to sign it onto but if you reload you just crack on as normal and you are well within your right to stock up to your limit before your extension expires, what a complete shambles, I’m sure you won’t run out of ammo, but they are taking the pi*s with these renewals I think there’s 2 years left on mine, I’d better get it sent in now
