  1. Years ago when I was in the building game I plastered a kitchen for pop star legend Peter Hook from New Order and Joy Division. He was a nice fella and showed round his huge house and car collection. His wife was nice too and a stoner, she would come in the kitchen and roll one and chat away to me. Back in them days I used go for a beer on way home from work and have the crack in the tap room. So I used set my phone to ring at a certain time , then when it rung I'd say out loud " FFS it's Madonna again, I've told her I can't plaster her ensuite till I've finished Eltons down stairs bog ! " all
  2. Another quick little overnighter for a re sett from work ect. Out in Trevor the Transit again lol. I made a diy awning from an old flames creed tarp some tarp poles and mini clamps and wanted test it out. Only cost me £28 to make it. Wasn't bad but needs tweeking. Had burgers on firebox and a few beers and wander with catty and take in the solitude and moors. Didn't see one person or motor , just perfect !
  3. Opposite for me am more accurate with 8mm and lighter bands, but prefer 9.5s for hunting. I just think the 8mm may have flatter trajectory and the lighter bands easier to aim more consistently
  4. Just got up for work so pint of water with vitamin C and zinc tab inn and a black coffee no sugar. Always start the day with those for over 10 years now
  5. It's 18 years old and discontinued now it's a B_2. Worn every day to work 7 days a week and never take it off , few services and two new straps . Old but gold lol.
  6. After seeing tatblisters mention a catty on fleabay I ordered one. A ott 90mm clipped frame for only £19 including postage, decent quality for the price obviously not up to the standard of a £60 plus frames , but a bargain at that price. Just got inn after an hour's mooch at first light, wasn't much about. But the frame shoots lovely for the price. My only gripe is I would of preferred green as to orange. But he didn't have any 90mm in green. He does the frames in 85 90 and 100mm in ott or ttf and wrap and tuck for only £15 including postage. Fellas called Dan Leighton on fleabay. Well wort
  7. Just ordered a clipped 90mm one only £19 , worth a punt
  8. Just can't for the life of me get used to tubes
  9. Do you mean them Leighton cattys ? I had a gypsy tube one off him , belting frame, but I just can't hit out with tube lol. Them clipped frames for 20 quid look belting
  10. Had a blank spell for a while , had an hour's walk at first light and bagged a woodie with the hedgerow Hunter. Loving morning to be out.
  11. I don't think so mate it's a true story of a fella that crossed them and lost everything. And yeah some canny off grid conversions about. Mines just basic , got a sink running water and lights and leisure battery . A fixed single bed which doubles as a sofa in the day and a removable table that clips to inside of back door when not in use. No campsites for me , just off the beaten track roads lay bys and pull off on top of the moor roads ect were I can. I did origanely have a fixed double cooker , but took it out as to bulky so I could get better use of work top space. And now jus
  12. Cheers Dan and kinda...........i pressed the buy now button on Etsy lol
  13. Probably just short covert missions with dog over the borders lol. I run my own business and the nature of the business and staff and supplying other shops doesn't give me a great deal of time to be off work these days, so a few overnighters or long weekends off grid will do me. Just checking out other counties, bit of cheeky hedge hopping. I wouldn't mind doing the NC 500 to be honest Mac. The gypsy code , is about a fella that upsets some travellers and goes on the run. Just did first couple of chapters yesterday and seems ok up to yet.
  14. Earlier in this thread I posted a few pic of a swb transit am doing up, not into a full blown camper. But comfy enough for me and dog to get away in. Anyway last night had a little trip away it too find my feet in it and see what works and what doesn't, inside of van is nearly done. Just want alloys off road tyres and light bar, possible roof rack and roof box . A few pics
  15. I learned TTF, but I switched to OTT as I personally find it more accurate. But I can shoot both
  16. But you didn't get triple the amount of chips again did ya , there always stingy on chips when you eat out lol
  17. I went years ago for a week's piss up. Seen the usual bits of culture, really enjoyed it. One thing I will say is I went in January and I've never been anywere so cold. No wonder they all wear ear muffs lol.
  18. I used to see Dave at the various shows years ago and always have a chat, and I watched his dog Katie work up in Scotland at blairgowrie. A nice fella.
  19. Cheers for sharing that, just watched ten minutes and looks good, will watch them all later when I have time. Thanks Terry
  20. At first I did look at the cheaper ones, but decided on this after research
  21. Mines the pulsar axion 2 xq35, was about a grand and half. Seems a good bit of kit, I've been spotting magies roosting in trees from a good distance. Seen roe in cover with it, bunnies hopping about in front of me, at night these tho. But I did see a hare squatting in the daytime at a fair old distance. And pics up squirrels easy in daytime. Am happy with it. I wish I'd of ad one years ago to be honest
  22. I bought one for mooching and same thing as you. It's been handy for the cattys and in general I have enjoyed just genuinely watching wildlife through it. They are a complete game changer. Would of been handy back in the day for keeping your eye out for two legged vermin trying to catch you .
